I think one of the things people don't realize about being chronically ill is just how much you sacrifice in your day-to-day. EVERYTHING costs energy. Today is midterms. I have X amount of energy. I had to prioritize tasks based on how good I wanted my morning to go. Some got left out.

You know you live in a broken system when you're happy your husband is sick over a holiday so he has time to rest because otherwise he'd be forced to come in to work and spread it around because sick leave is a fucking joke in this state. 😮💨 Happy Labor Day weekend.
