So in 1981 we bought a Chev C-20 which got 20 mpg, which was a great improvement over the old 1965 Dodge. So one would think that with all the tech development the mpg of my 2010 Ford would be significantly different, on average getting 16 L/100 km which is 17.6 miles per gallon

So in 1988 supposedly 85% of the trade with the USA was tariff free. So after all the trade deals, subsidies to footloose industries, lost industries, we have a worse situation. Our crack trade negotiators were/are incompetent.

The current situation in the USA is exactly what would happen when the rural and religious have more political power than their numbers warrant. In Canada thank goodness that we didn't get Pius Manning's Triple E Senate although rural Canada is over represented in the Legislatures.

(1) They released all the names of the pedophile priests to the relevant legal authorities
(2) They have a business plan to sell off all their assets, to put into a fund that actually helps the POOR.
