Winterizing has begun... which feels a bit odd considering this week will be mid to upper 30s.
Bathroom painted... new smoke/carbon monoxide detector installed. Bathroom fans and weather stripping up next.
Is ok to admit that I'm so tired of doing it all on my own? Satisfying but tiring.

Started art class tonight and I'm ridiculously happy! The basics... just the kind of class I needed. 6 weeks and I already want it to be longer! It was about learning tone and value in black and white... dying for the weekend now so I can practice this over and over to get it the way I want haha

I think my heart just broke a little today reading a post from a member of my band calling people like me an 'uneducated half-breed' about 'our' culture.
He's not wrong, but the reason why matters.
If I am not 'white' and I'm not 'indigenous'... and I'm not welcome as either.
What am I?

What a strange start to the new year... 2 family members gone, one of my furr balls given less than 2 months, and people losing their livelihoods at the office with more likely to follow. Dang, but I hope all the bad stuff is getting over with early and that the rest of the year is so much better
