Areas that were historically Grade D had a higher proportion of residents without rapid EMS compared with Grade A areas.

I may be tired and a little hoarse, but as I said again and again on the Senate floor, this is a moment where we cannot afford to be silent, when we must speak up.

Another reason to ❤️ Costco.

While Target and others cancel diversity to appease Trump, Costco’s investing in the community—building apartments above its stores, starting in LA.

This $425M project includes 184 low-income units, with key services, plus a rooftop pool and fitness center.

Don’t just say DEI as if it’s a bad word. Spell it out.

Say diversity, which is the lifeblood of American society & culture & innovation.

Say equity, which a just society should pursue.

Say inclusion, because decent people believe in increasing belonging, not isolating people who are different.

This is dangerously irresponsible on every level. Indiscriminately slashing this funding will cripple lifesaving research on everything from cancer to opioid addiction.
NIH cuts billions of dollars in biomedical funding, effective immediately
The move halts a large slice of money for most universities and research institutions virtually overnight, imperiling vital research in everything from cancer to heart disease.

The Senate HELP Committee has jurisdiction over NIH.

GOP members of the committee represent AK, AL, IN, FL, KS, KY, LA, ME, MO, OH, and SC.

Research universities and hospitals in those states need to be extra loud.
