What I always hear: “We can’t afford to pay our workers more than $15 an hour.”

What I never hear: “We can’t afford to pay our CEO millions of dollars a year.”

Funny how that works.

GOOD NEWS! Researchers have shown Alzheimer’s disease can be REVERSED- not just prevented. Using a potent neuroprotective compound called P7C3-A20, they found RESTORING balance to a central cellular energy molecule (NAD+) not only PREVENTED disease features but REVERSED them, EVEN at late stages.

AMAZING!
research team identified dozens that shifted in Alzheimer’s and returned to normal with treatment. These proteins are involved in energy production, synaptic health, and cellular cleanup. They may serve as future biomarkers or drug targets. This work suggests Alzheimer’s MAY NOT be a one-way path.

To worry about how Māori we were would serve no one but the forces that want to keep us down.

The same goes for being a writer, or any form of artist.

No, we don't have to accept hallucinatory, ecosidic creative stealing LLMs. The genie not only can be put back in the bottle, we need to do so. Accepting this as the state of affairs that we have to accept and going forward is an enormous mistake.

"Contacts are so complicated to write, we need AI to assist"

"Contacts are too complicated to understand, we need AI to summarize and explain"

If the language of contacts is too difficult to be constructed or understood by a person, maybe we should address THAT problem instead of involving AI
I don't know how many times it needs to be said that you absolutely should not let fucking "AI" anywhere near your legal contracts, either in creating them or evaluating them, but apparently it needs to be said at least one more time, so allow me to say it again, here, right now

The fact that this person thinks letting AI read and summarize a contract is a good use of the tech is a great data point on how little they understand why and how it sucks.

Amazingly, reaction times using screens while driving are worse than being drunk or high—no wonder 90 percent of drivers hate using touchscreens in cars. Finally the auto industry is coming to its senses.

Whenever I see a fat person exercising I feel so much admiration. It takes so much courage to do that where you're visible to the public.

(Also I never assume that people are exercising to lose weight. There are so many other great reasons to do it.)
Small note: if you see a fat person out exercising, you don’t need to give them advice!
