I am genuinely confused by all this pageantry. He was not an elected official. I cannot think of another time a regular citizen being killed garnered this response. It’s perverse.

This person had lost hope in connecting with anyone. In their darkest hour they finally found someone who was interested in them and engaging. And it killed them. Break it down, this is no different than if someone had written a simple algo that does the same, and that's murder. This is murder.
