@jkamckenzie.bsky.social I will not stand the slander (by omission) by Chris of not mentioning "Miracle" as a Hockey movie that general audiences could get into. As a Red-Blooded Canadian, that movie had me feeling patriotic of a country I didn't have any connection to.

This is a very bold decision that I'm interested in seeing play out in the next few months.

This GST freeze is uncharted territory, but having lived through the "Ralph Bucks" moment, I'm very wary if this $250 has any positive effect for Canadians and the economy...

My realization that BlueSky isn't just a temporary fling for me is when I realized it was a combination of the best aspects of Reddit and Twitter - much as people (myself included) cringe at the idea of anything "good" coming from those two platforms...
