Visited these gorgeous bears yesterday at Wildwood Devon wildlife park near Ottery St Mary. They did not disappoint. Well worth a visit! 🐻❤️
If only all news stories were like this one (sigh)

Two sibling bears named Mish and Lucy escaped their enclosure at Wildwood Devon wildlife park in England after a staff member accidentally left a door open. The bears wandered into the kitchen area, where they devoured fruit, vegetables, and a whole week's worth of honey before falling asleep.

Does this book remind anyone else of Jonathan Livingston Seagull? Inspirational self-help as fiction. No wonder it’s sold so many copies!

For 14 months our partners PARC ran the only disability-friendly displacement camp in Gaza. A lifeline for 68 families which was forced to close.

They were forced to close the camp. Now in a new area but have nothing, no shelter, no toilet facilities, nothing.

World leaders MUST act to put a stop to this
Across Gaza, Palestinians are being treated as a people without rights—routinely displaced, attacked & killed. Unless world leaders act decisively now to stop these attacks, they will be effectively abandoning Palestinians to die.

This is great news. I thought Kick was a brilliant book. Well written, great characters, with a strong ethical message arising naturally from the story. And about football. We need more books like this. ❤️

Libraries are one of the rare places children have CHOICE without gatekeepers saying “aren’t you too old for that”/“how about a PROPER book” etc. Choice drives reading for pleasure. If we truly care about reading for pleasure, we have to protect our libraries.

The denials defy belief:
There’s no famine in Gaza.
There’s no problem with GHF’s aid distribution process.
IDF soldiers do not target aid seekers.
Evidence tells us otherwise and denials don’t change that. Only independent investigation will reveal the full truth. Let’s have it.

Netanyahu has cancelled the GHF ‘food aid project’ in Gaza because of alleged Hamas hijacking of aid. So now, no food at all is being distributed at the height of a humanitarian disaster. Israel is not capable of running a competent aid effort so the alternative must be installed NOW!
