I very much despise Doug Ford.
It's pronounced "Dace-Vhite-za".

Once they've collectively attacked their opposition, they begin attacking one another.

It's who they are.

No. Sadly, I'm not talking about mean kids in high school..

My granny never got over the First World War. She lost so many relatives, neighbours, school mates. She shared stories of the trenches to me and my sister.
I write about her, Canada's "100 Days" and the staggering price we paid to end the First World War.

I didn't have a brother
But John was always there for me
Just like a brother would
The way I feel a brother could
Today I've lost my brother

Ever wondered what US fascism would look like? 1945 army training manuals had the playbook—this analysis shows how today’s politics match their warning. Are we reading the same book? https://americanmanifesto.news/this-is-american-fascism

An almost empty room during Lavrov's speech in the UN.

Lavrov is completely fine with it.

Actually, Lavrov doesn't belong in that room at all. And the Russian Federation, as well.

She's jus' purring. Dual Xeon L5630 2.13GHz / 48 GB ECC RAM.
~$ sysbench cpu --threads=16 run
Threads started!

Doesn't even phase it. 😊

For an old Dell PowerEdge, this dual Xeon L5630 runs terrifically.

Next upgrade is Dell Perc 6i RAID controller to be replaced with h700 for SATA 6G support and replacing the original 10K RPM SAS 3G hard disk with two 15K 6G disks, RAID0.

It will then be sufficiently modernized for full-time use.🙂

At the end of the day, you voted for a convicted felon and got what you voted for. If for any reason that has somehow bit you in the ass in a manner you didn't foresee, switch sides and fight against it.

Otherwise, stop whining about the position you've put yourself in. Yes. You, Republican voter.🙄

If we’re renaming departments and calling the DOD the “Department of War”, we might as well go ahead and make the DOJ the “Department of Revenge”

I do not donate to Palestinian requests for aid on social media. That said, I don't block them either.

Let them be heard.

I'm tired of MAGA saying, "I didn't know he was going to do this."

You didn't have to know, specifically. Anyone who observed Trump's first term as POTUS and listened to scholars or those more informed; anyone who fact check anything at all knew not to vote for him.

You did get what you voted for.

Our movie recommendation for this lovely Sunday is #TheAbyss! Follow as an underwater dive team searches for a lost submarine, but encounters something truly otherworldly. The Abyss is now streaming on Hulu & Disney+ and is available to rent on all other major platforms.

Happy Canada Day.

On this day in 1867, the colonies of Nova Scotia and New Brunswick joined the United Canadas.

Known as Dominion Day until 1982, when Canada ended its legal dependence on the United Kingdom, we continue to celebrate our unity and strength, regardless of other differences we face.
