Management wants shorter wait times at CRA call centers — while cutting the very workers who answer the phones. You can’t improve service by shrinking the workforce. Simple math.

Cutting 40,000 jobs would be more than just "regrettable": it's bad policy that will hurt workers, their families, and everyone who relies on public services. The budget has passed, it’s packed with austerity measures that hit people hard. We will fight back.

There’s nothing compassionate about cuts that cost workers their paycheques and that leave families without the services they count on. PM Carney’s austerity agenda lands squarely on workers’ backs.

64% of people in PSAC’s survey say federal public services are already strained and backlogged. Cutting more workers means longer wait times and fewer supports when people need them most.

This past week there was a photo from Trump's gala of a barely clad woman frolicking in a giant champagne glass.
She looked like a teen.
It made me think of Jane Doe-another young woman who attempted to shine a light on the darkness in Trumpland.
My latest.

With Carney’s upcoming budget, we could see 52 of 88 vital departments and agencies disappear, according to @policyalternatives.ca’s analysis. This would mean:

🔴Fewer workers and slower services
🔴Weaker protections
🔴Longer waits for the help families need

As the only leadership candidate with a seat, CBC asked me this week where I stand on the budget.

Mark Carney knows where I stand.

If he wants NDP support, he can’t keep the cuts he’s threatening to jobs and the services Canadians rely on.

Today’s Halloween… but the real horror is Carney’s cuts to public services. After everything we’ve been through since COVID-19, our public services are stretched to the limit. Cutting support for families, veterans, and seniors now isn’t “fiscal responsibility” — it’s reckless.
