#Yeule - Glitch Princess to me its strange #ambient #electronicmusic with vocals as an instrument. like #iainmbanks 'consider phlebas', a young AI entity goes a bit nuts, this album is the horrors & excitements of being in your 20s. the production, the unexpected audio twists & turns: its genius.
I spent last summer reading these 7 books all in a(n expensive) row. they were joyous. it's been so long since I had such a fun read. and I was therefore expecting the worst from #murderbot but I've watched 2 episodes and it's really good. it's story over expensive visuals the opposite of star wars.

Another recommend from #undergroundsolutions . Its taken decades to even begin to like Jazz and it only really began with Kamazi Washington's Truth. This is perhaps in the same ballpark? Its certainly nice and interesting and great to allow it to wash over you.

#IchikoAoba - Luminescent Creatures
This is maybe not representative as it is more #electronicmusic than much of the album is. Beautiful, different melodies and structures, some with keyboards, some with classical guitar. The vocals are very quiet and sit back in the music. Its just great.

#patssoundhouse was incredible last night supporting #ichikoaoba (who was unbelievably good, more to follow). what a sound the khaen makes! like an ambient accordian mellotron brass band rolled into one strange bundle of pipes. amazing. Sounds cruel but top marks for a short set! left wanting more.

#yetsuby 4EVA. Cant believe there's another Yetsuby album already, after the wonderful b_b. And its not been off the record player since it arrived early last week. It's lighter faster glitchier more melodic, i don't know, i dont want to say it's better than b_b because thats mean to b_b

This is my vintage (1964/65?) FAL Treble Booster pedal.
It is 60 years old and seems to be un-modded and works beautifully - lovely sound.
I am not a guitarist so, apologies for that.
This pedal has a Mullard OC44 Made in Holland germanium transistor.

This is my vintage (1964/65?) FAL Treble Booster pedal.
It is 60 years old and seems to be un-modded and works beautifully - lovely sound.
I am not a guitarist so, apologies for that.
This pedal has a Mullard OC44 Made in Holland germanium transistor.

Looks like #Amazon are stopping you being able to download your #kindle files to your computer from 25 Feb. So just downloaded them all. But, as #jeffbezos is part of the evil crowd I think I shall be giving up on kindle and hopefully Amazon anyway

This is the first album i have just seen in a shop and bought. Mainly because it had a post-it note written by the record shop saying:
'Scottish ambient and drone that feels beamed in from another dimension or century. There are ZERO beats.' Sounded great to me.

#nalasinephro: Endless. I love it when strings go deep. This is a beautiful album, sort of jazz electronica, a close relation might be #floatingpoints Promises. This was my xmas present. Lovely double album that broke my record player. But actually 4th side is a spirograph. So no filler!

#vinceguaraldi Trio - A Charlie Brown Christmas. It used to be the standards for me: a wombling merry xmas, merry xmas everybody, last xmas etc But for the last few years its been this album. Its just the right amount of relaxed, happy and just a hint of a little bit sad. Perfect, love it.

#vinceguaraldi Trio - A Charlie Brown Christmas. It used to be the standards for me: a wombling merry xmas, merry xmas everybody, last xmas etc But for the last few years its been this album. Its just the right amount of relaxed, happy and just a hint of a little bit sad. Perfect, love it.

Craven Faults: Erratics and Unconformities. And sometimes you just want an album that goes plink plink fizz a lot. And this double album by #cravenfaults does it perfectly. I like to imagine that every so often they manage to buy a new bit of modular synthiness & that becomes the new album.

When does #ambient #electronica become jazz? There's a fretless bass ffks! But its a lovely, interesting & different sound, often very beautiful & i like that, whatever the style might be. Tell you what, next week i'll do a #CravenFaults album

Curious conicidence that it is the 5th anniversary of Seratonin II. Though i actually discovered Glitch Princess First.
I was in Fopp a couple of weeks ago and saw that #Yeule was in the Dance Music section.
Its just really interesting music.

I cant even remember why i bought this. it must have abeen a review or something somewhere. But god its good. Its soothes the soul. Its one of those albums i know i will always listen - and there are not many of them. #floatingpoints #pharoahsanders #ambientmusic
