NYT focused on Vought, Gunasekara, Clark, and Brightbill as the zealots who believe climate change is a hoax. They believe that global warming is not happening, regardless of the scientific evidence. Only in this administration would they have a microphone. I hope for what you hope.

I wish you were the actual Onion. But no, it's 2026 in America.

Remember when Paul Ryan talked about how much he identified with "Rage Against the Machine," and Rage was basically like: "You are the machine. Stop it."

Absolutely. It may have taken a while, and that's not great, but he's taken responsibility and he eventually found the right path. That's worth something, in my mind. I know others disagree, and that's understandable.

Think of how much has been normalized already. Sometimes I have to make an active effort to remind myself where the line is, and I am firmly opposed to what's happening on moral grounds, legal grounds, even common sense. Our brains are not wired for this level of doublespeak, and weaker minds cave.

Not to make excuses, but I think we underestimate the wall of disinformation that Fox News and other outlets shove at folks on a daily basis. They stick to easy talking points, repeat them loudly and often, and overwhelm people. People truly believe that, however bad he is, the alternative is worse.

Plus the number of times he said "unprecedented cooperation" really felt deliberate, like he was trying to drive a wedge between the people and the MN administration. And for what? This unprecedented cooperation just amounts to roughly the same amount of cooperation from before.

When are people going to learn: he does not pay people. His history is full of these moments. It might be a compulsion at this point, like it's painful to actually part with the funds that are so easily promised.

Truckley, time to defend your honor! Put down that beer and pick up a mic.

My first thought when I saw this picture: there are probably a bunch of birds in there just waiting to freak out when anyone gets close. Not sure why.

For no reason whatsoever, just dropping this absolute banger in the chat. No reason at all. Nothing to see here.

It is not surprising that Bezos rolled over to a bully. I'm sure he was stuffed in plenty of lockers, he could recognize a boss level bully immediately. All that money, the weightlifting, the martial arts...none of it mattered. He had a chance to stand up for his middle school self, and he folded.

Honest question: why can't the authorities access files in the cloud? Would they need family permission (my guess is they would get it)? Lack of the physical item shouldn't inhibit accessing the files. Or am I wrong? I've been wrong before.

Gold. Absolute gold. Thank you, I needed a laugh right now.

There's no statute of limitations on murder, and he is in the ICE employee database if Bovino knows who he is. Minnesotans are patient, and I think someone will give him up to save their own skin down the line. And I don't think the President can pardon a state charge. His time will come.

Some c-level folks felt like something needed to be said, for some reason that is still unexplained. But then 60+ PR people got involved, and here we are...

I'm guessing they are so used to making excuses, hiding from the moral and ethical questions by using whataboutism, that they can't even recognize the moral dilemma anymore. They get their marching orders from the top and don't question them, and in return they feel relieved of responsibility.

But I'm sorry to hear from all these people who lost friends and family. It still sucks, regardless of how right it might be.

It's a good learning experience for the rest of us - there but for the grace of God go I, right? Watching people I know and care about work so hard to justify what's happening makes me work harder to make sure I don't end up doing that somewhere else.

I wonder if they worry they've gone too far and are looking for a way out.

I try to be optimistic, knowing that America has lived through dark times before and continued to progress after. But I do not enjoy living through it. My kids seem almost numb to it, as if they just sort of expect bad things to happen now.

I cannot like this enough. Finally, someone steps in and does what they are capable of doing.

I can't wait to see how they spin the latest shooting, the one that just happened this morning. The video is pretty traumatic, for anyone who still has feelings.

How dare you use facts and other logical tools when a former coach is busy having an opinion.
