Our A to Z of Cornish gardens and gardening continues and for H we wanted to share one of Cornwall’s most magical of gardens – the Lost Gardens of Heligan.

Currently doing some marking. A reminder to everyone involved in archives and collections: digitisation is not preservation. If I digitise a box of records and put the files on a USB stick I haven't preserved a thing. It's all about what you do with the files post-digitisation. #archives #digipres

It's #WorldDigitalPreservationDay, and we're asking #WhyPreserve ? Our hospitals have been creating digital records in various forms for over 60 years, but as technology evolves, information and records can become inaccessible. Digital preservation is essential for future access #WDPD2025

I have spent #WDPD2025 preparing feedback for applicants for UK Archive Service Accreditation. I think it remains true no applicant has ever had a report that didn't include actions to keep developing their digital preservation capacity/practice. But many services are well underway, great to see.
