A much-overdue welcome to Deborah Vicari who has recently joined us as a non-tenure-track (Research) Assistant Professor. She came as a recipient of a "Seal of Excellence" for a Marie Curie postdoctoral fellowship. #Evolution #Cetacea #geometricmorphometrics

Back home from #eseb2025. It was great to see so many old friends and colleagues and to see so much interesting research. Was there only for a short time, but it was totally worth it!

At the airport heading to #ESEBCongress2025 #eseb2025. Unfortunately, this year I will only stay for a short time, but looking forward to catching up with many friends and colleagues, as well as meeting with new people!

Joanna Mietlińska from the University of Lodz (Poland) spent 3 months with us, diving deep into #geometricmorphometrics on human vertebrae. She's leaving with an almost-complete first manuscript draft! Proud of her dedication. #Science #Anthropology #Archaeology

As someone who published in @biojlinnsoc.bsky.social when I was an early career researcher, I am saddened to hear about the passing of John Allen academic.oup.com/biolinnean/a...
It was an absolute pleasure, in so many ways, having my manuscripts handled by him.

Welcome to Joanna Mietlińska-Sauter who is going to stay with us until the end of June! She had attended one of my courses and now she's going to spend some time in my lab to work on 3D geometric #morphometrics of human vertebrae from archaeological remains #archaeology
