It's absolutely nuts that the iconic White Stripes performance on SNL was in 2002. 23 years ago. I feel like I can remember it incredibly viscerally still.

Just about everyone I know has finally made good on their years-long threat to leave Facebook and Twitter. It was the longest eventual moral outrage boycott I've ever seen play out. So I guess I'd better start checking my BlueSky

I try not to diss on Metallica, I mean they are the metal Beatles practically, and their top stuff is untouchable and timeless. But the ratio of me seeking out their tracks vs, say Carcass or even Destruction, is pretty uneven

On the topic of Spotify... the old music snob in me surfaces when I look at playlists and they are called "best of 80's and 90's thrash and death metal" and its a copy and paste of entire Metallica and Slayer albums.
