I got to take a field trip to Northfield and @carleton.edu to report this sports/health combo story.

QB Jack Curtis received a cancer diagnosis in June. He's determined to play every football game this fall amid chemotherapy treatment.

"I'm looking forward to getting back to my normal life."
With a team behind him, this college quarterback plays his final season amid cancer treatment at Mayo Clinic
Over the summer, Jack Curtis was diagnosed with lymphoma. Now, he's balancing class, football and chemotherapy during his senior year at Carleton College.

Quirky (kwәr-kē), adjective: having many quirks — a peculiar trait or idiosyncrasy — usually in an interesting or appealing way.

The Spring 2025 edition of Common Time in the Voice asks Carls the question: When people say Carleton is quirky, what do they mean?
