Good morning! Thank you for valuing supportive relationships versus transactional ones. We grow weary of those only concerned about what we can do for them. It's refreshing when another also wants to know how they can help us.

During Caregiving, When a Brochure Isn't Enough
When you're in the midst of caregiving, a diagnosis, a crisis, or a major transition often comes with the same response: a brochure. But information isn't always what you need—you need real help. In this Caregiving Comfort, we explore why caregivers so often feel handed a piece of paper instead of genuine support, and what you can do about it. Denise shares how asking for more isn't just about getting help for yourself—it's about creating change for every family caregiver who comes after you. If you've ever felt dismissed by a brochure, this one's for you. Stop by our community, https://join.caringourway.com/spaces/8525015/feed, and tell us how you'll ask for more. i just read something about grief from C.S. Lewis and his book, “A Grief Observed”

basically, when someone you love dies, it isn’t just them that you miss, but the parts of yourself that person brought out of you that can never be brought out again.

i feel that with my dad.
