Caregiving is deeply meaningful but can feel incredibly lonely.

Friends drift and exhaustion sets in. If you know a caregiver, reach out—your support matters. No one should walk this path alone. #CaregiverSupport #YouAreNotAlone #dementia #Alzheimers

Love isn’t just about memories—it’s about presence, patience, & heart. Even when dementia changes life, a bond remains.

On this Valentine’s Day, we celebrate the love that endures beyond words & memories—a love that can span decades & adapt to this great loss.

Dementia is cruel and does not care about your past, your achievements, or your skin.

To beat it we must understand it.
To understand it we must study it.
To study it we must be patient.
To be patient we must have faith.

Repost if you agree.

Dementia Caregiving Tip: Keep a “Yes, and…” mindset. Instead of correcting a loved one’s confusion, go with their reality and gently guide the conversation. It reduces stress for both of you and keeps the bond strong. #DementiaCare #Caregiving #alzheimers

Caregiver support groups a can be extremely helpful to caregivers.

Has anyone found good virtual support groups they would recommend? If so, please add to comments.

Thanks!

💙 Dementia caregiving is tough—but you don’t have to do it alone.

Support groups (both in-person & virtual) offer guidance, shared experiences, and emotional strength from those who truly understand. Let us know—what has your experience with support groups been like? #alzheimers #Caregiver

Sailor's Syndrome?

Maybe dementia should be called the Sailor's Syndrome because of how it can take a life-long kind person and turn them into a foul-mouth sailor. 🦜

Dementia and Alzheimer's are more than memory. Cognition, insight, and executive functioning all decline. 🧠 #caregivers

Could CBD/THC help agitation in dementia?

🧠 Studies show low-dose CBD/THC combo (<10 mg THC) reduces agitation in people with dementia. ⚠️ Excessive THC causes discomfort/illness. Not med advice.

Younger people don’t understand.

The average total healthcare spending in the last 5 years of life was $287,038 in patients with dementia. This is about $58,000 per year. This is a tremendous burden on American families. ☹️

💙 To All Caregivers:

Days can be very hard. Especially showering and dressing in cases of dementia. Even if you don’t feel loving, what you’re doing is love in action. Your care makes a difference, even on the hardest days.

#Caregiving is hard—physically exhausting, emotionally draining, and often isolating. It’s okay to feel tired, sad, or overwhelmed, and it’s okay to ask for help.

#Caregivers, you’re not alone. Take a moment for yourself today. You matter too.

80% of human studies are delayed or underpowered because of difficulty getting participants.
