We’re watching ep1 of “Wear Whatever the F You Want” and it’s so got-dang fun to have Clinton & Stacy back in my living room 😭🥰 I love this! Also, everyone should aim to have a bestie like Dallas - huge fan of this incredible friend. Give her a fancy fun week, too!!

Every time I hear Marc Maron say the word “HULarious” in this godforsaken Spotify ad, I *feel* as dead inside as he *sounds.*

ever since I was a little girl I knew I wanted to have to submit reports to usps dot com about packages marked “delivered” that were not, in fact, delivered.

Tina Friml (one of my favorite comedians) is performing in Chicago this weekend, and I can’t go because the venue is inaccessible 😩

My (nonbinary) partner, Christine, to whom I am (gay) married, went to a Gap outlet today and found out that they’re the next coming of Jesus? So checkmate, Christian nationalists! The queers have been holy along 🥰

Who needs blood pressure anyways? [taken this morning; l've since gotten fluids, meds, etc., BP is working it’s way back up, and I avoided ICU]

[alt: blood pressure machine in my darkened hospital room reads 90/32 with MAP of 42].

Wild and wacky idea - what if, instead of putting even more funds towards “stepping up security” for executives, y’all put those funds towards, idk, providing healthcare to customers? Folks might not be as inclined to riot if they had real, actual medical coverage 🤷🏼

Petition to rewrite “12 days of Christmas” to be “12 facts about this guy” and it’s just different elements of this developing story about the People’s Princess of 2024.
You’re laughing. 5000+ NYPD cops have been working overtime to find a backpack full of Monopoly money and you’re laughing?

Action needed: The future of telehealth is in jeopardy! Telehealth expands access for those with disabilities, mobility & transportation challenges, in rural areas, etc. but will end 12/31 without congressional action. One of the good things to come out of the pandemic - it must be preserved!
Telehealth Will Die In 3 Weeks Without Congressional Action
Urgent action is needed to pass the Telehealth Modernization Act before it expires, ending telemedicine on Dec. 31. This would be devastating for disabled and rural patients.

Looking for some #WholesomeWednesday content? Check out the lil piece from @nbcchicago.bsky.social about my hospital wedding! The team at Northwestern (shoutout to 11W!) came together to help make sure I said my vows before going into a terrifying open heart surgery: www.tiktok.com/t/ZTYkrNdwt/ #joy
This Thanksgiving, a pair of newlyweds will have an abundance of gratitude. A successful open heart surgery saved one of their lives. Because the procedure was so risky, Northwestern Medicine nurses a...

Hey, #DisabilityCommunity - what are your best product or process recs for in-home accessibility? We’re retrofitting our 100+ year old home, making it as safe/easy to navigate as possible. We have a chair lift, smart lighting in my room, a bidet, and halls wide enough for my chair.

What do you use?

Tough pain day. It’s a part of sternotomy-recovery, it happens - but it’s still a big heckin’ bummer.

That said, my dog’s snoring next to me (in my own dang bed!) & my sheets are soft, clean, & warm. In the morning, I’ll see the sky change through my window, & I’ll be happy to see it from home 🌅.

After a 2-month hospitalization, I’m drinking in every single second I get to spend with our dogs. Dogs are comfort, their safety, their love is medicinal; their snuggles are just like my pills.

The way to my *personal* genderless heart is through this little plastic port/catheter that provides direct access…
But making me-sized clothing out of the fabrics/prints usually reserved for infants would be SUCH a close 2nd.

If the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach, then the way to a nonbinary person’s heart is probably through using the textiles baby outfits are made of to design adult-sized clothing.
