@thebukshow.bsky.social at this point, I would have rather had Aldama than nobody at the backup 4 😹

@thebukshow.bsky.social I read your article. I think Ivey’s defense is more important than his offense personally. If he develops defensively, the Pistons will be very dangerous to play against because the natural progression of Jaden’s offense will be him expanding his game. He will keep adding.

@thebukshow.bsky.social thoughts? This is if we get Duncan, trade away Simone. Having Sasser get heavy PG minutes when an almost-inevitable LeVert injury happens would not be ideal.

@thebukshow.bsky.social the Beasley news is disappointing but we do have more cap space now. A guy like NAW and DFS would be good pickups. Or Aldama. We can make it work.

@thebukshow.bsky.social kinda bummed about the Naz news. Probably targeting Aldama or NAW now. Personally, I prefer Shroeder over NAW. I think Schroeder plays good team defense, although not amazing individual defense. But he is such a clutch player, I still think he’s worth keeping around.

@thebukshow.bsky.social I honestly can’t believe Reynaud and Fleming are still on the board. Especially Fleming. His archetype is usually a first round type upside swing by teams. If we get either one of those, that’ll be awesome. Charlotte has picks 33 and 34 so maybe we can move up.

@thebukshow.bsky.social we prob disagree again, but I’m good on Aldama. I don’t think he’s that great of a player, just decent. I want a true difference maker, not somebody marginally better than what we have. I would prefer a JJJ or Randle over an Aldama.

@thebukshow.bsky.social I don’t agree with everything you wrote in your article about the Memphis-Orlando trade. I don’t think teams should ever be giving up a superstar type package for a non-superstar player.

@thebukshow.bsky.social I’m curious why we’re bringing in so many fringe draft picks for workouts. Are we going to draft someone that we don’t even workout? Is this all a smokescreen? People are wondering.
June 11, 2025 at 11:37 AM
@thebukshow.bsky.social I found this on Reddit. Thoughts?
June 10, 2025 at 1:55 AM
@thebukshow.bsky.social what moves do you actually want Detroit to make in FA? Who in the draft do you like? Do you think we will trade up?
June 9, 2025 at 12:29 PM
@thebukshow.bsky.social Chaz would be an awesome player to get in the second round if he falls to us. Great 3-point shooter on high volume.

@thebukshow.bsky.social I’m hoping we can pry Herb Jones or Trey Murphy away from NOLA this summer. Would be a boon to get either of those guys.

@thebukshow.bsky.social

Apparently Cleveland might put Garland and Allen on the trade block. Allen intrigues me. Idk about you, but I’d be willing to trade Duren away for Allen. They offer the same thing but Allen is an elite defender right now plus Duren will need to get paid this off-season.

@thebukshow.bsky.social it kinda sucks seeing the Knicks playing so well against Boston. We coulda did that too. I kinda figured Boston wouldn’t be this absolute world beater like people were trying and claim, but they have been looking really underwhelming. Them and Cleveland.

@thebukshow.bsky.social I think if the Pistons prioritize shooting in the off-season, they will be a top-4 seed next year. Watching the playoffs this year, teams like the Thunder, Cavs, and Celtics, Pacers, the #1 thing that sticks out is shooting. Those are all great defensive teams.
April 23, 2025 at 12:26 PM
@thebukshow.bsky.social I’m a smidge bit disappointed that we still only finished with 44 wins. This year’s team was night and day better than 2015-2016, but we still have the same regular season record. I know we rested a bunch of guys but losing 6 of 8 games to end the year is kind of ugly.
April 14, 2025 at 1:36 PM
@thebukshow.bsky.social I do hesitate to think the Pistons will ever attempt to trade for another “superstar” player eventually. My reasoning is simple: that would go against our very franchise identity. We don’t Star chase. We get good role and complimentary players and they blend together.
April 10, 2025 at 2:26 PM
@thebukshow.bsky.social you so sure the Celtics will just get through the Magic or Hawks? I think the Magic could give them a tough series. The Magic offense is a major concern but they are still one of the best teams in the league when on their game, and they have length to match the Celtics.
April 10, 2025 at 12:51 AM
@thebukshow.bsky.social also, the Bucks might at some point be willing to trade Giannis, but idk if it would be to a fellow East team. They might want to trade out of conference.
April 4, 2025 at 12:35 PM
@thebukshow.bsky.social I have agreed with a lot of your takes on the website but I disagree that we’re basically a Naz Reid away from being a true contender. I think he would def help the team, but I think the issue is the bench. You insert Naz as a starter, and he makes the starting 5 better.
April 4, 2025 at 12:34 PM
@thebukshow.bsky.social you posted an article weeks ago about Ja Morant. I’m out on him. I think Ivey has a ceiling like his so we wouldn’t be any better with him and he is a headache. Always getting in trouble for things.
April 2, 2025 at 6:01 PM
@thebukshow.bsky.social ngl, I feel like Sasser needs to be kept. I feel like he always gets tossed by the wayside when talking about guys but whenever he’s been asked to come fill in and play (after long periods of inactivity and not playing), he plays well and is a bucket.
March 23, 2025 at 10:44 PM
@thebukshow.bsky.social no hyperbole but the Pistons being good might just end up saving the league’s ratings. Since the 1980s, when the Pistons have been good, the league has been more competitive and fun to watch. Same thing happened in the early-to-mid 2000s.
