This is a great initiative & something myself & @aidanmasmith have been seeking be done live on the council website for years.
With new API technology it may be coming later this year -but absent that I’m glad to see residents stepping up for our community

Greenwich Foot Tunnel user creates app to warn of lift closures - The Greenwich Wire
A disgruntled user of the Greenwich Foot Tunnel has created a web app so fellow walkers and cyclists can warn each other when the crossing’s unreliable lifts are broken.

Great weekend across Creekside.

Volunteer day on Sunday in Twinkle Park & Charlotte Turner Gardens where we were joined by great new volunteers.

And lots of casework & some canvassing all day Saturday.

Just wish I remembered sun cream on my bald head… feeling sunburn today 🤕

What a day of sport.

Brilliant win for the lionesses 🦁 🏆

And incredible final stage of #TDF2025

Double screening to get best of both!

Glad to see this being reported. 2 weeks ago I had it confirmed that Newham had released funds meaning work could start to return Woolwich Foot Tunnel to service.

Disappointing it’s taken so long, but am overjoyed it’ll be back in operation by end of year

Lovely morning for some maintenance and litter picking in Twinkle Park and Charlotte Turner Gardens.

Remember - when enjoying our greenspace this weekend please take your rubbish with you and don’t have BBQs particularly given how dry it is

I’ve been calling for the Council to end leasing of parking bays to cruse ships docking in Greenwich.

We may not have the power to stop cruse ships (that’s for Port of London Authority) but we shouldn’t be facilitating by providing coach parking bays. My Council question

Lovely day for some rubbish picking, cutting and general maintenance in Charlotte Turner Gardens & Twinkle Park today.

Please make sure to clear after yourself in any of our lovely parks or green spaces across Greenwich if you are enjoying the lovely weather ☀️

Find this claim about as convincing as my hairline. We’ve know since 1960s that increasing road capacity only serves to increase the number of vehicle journeys - and, in time, congestion gets worse.

I hope I’m shown to be wrong, but I am sceptical as are Greenwich residents
As of Monday 7 April, the 1.4km Silvertown Tunnel now links Newham to the Greenwich Peninsula.

The new scheme will make journeys faster and more reliable, with average journey time savings expected to be up to 20 minutes at peak times.

The closure will of course be disappointing to some, but it is the only way to replace the escalators and deliver a reliable and fully accessible station long term - & so I think most people will agree it is a price worth paying.

We've been pushing for this for over 3 years, so it is long overdue.

BIG NEWS: TfL have confirmed the timeline for starting works at Cutty Sark DLR.

The station will be closed, for up to a year, from 31 May to replace the escilators.

While long overdue, this is incredibly welcome news.

Great to see new road markings on Borthwick St, with more to come. These new markings make things clearer and avoid some of the mix-ups I’ve successfully helped residents appeal penalty notices for.

Example of @Royal_Greenwich listening and acting on issues raised.

Noticed these signs by the Deptford Creek pedestrian swing bridge?

They give info on the tides and so when the bridges may have to be opened to allow river traffic access to the creek.

I sought their instillation after being contacted by residents last year

Its v positive the government are committing to proper defence investment, particularly given global uncertainties & ongoing wars of imperial aggression

But the decision to cut aid spending is deeply disappointing & misguided. ODA spend helps address the kind of instability that can lead to conflict

Great conversations out on the #labourdoorstep across Greenwich this weekend - from liveable streets and tackling crime to how we’re making work pay with the better workplace rights and increasing the minimum wage, @UKLabour are helping Britain turn the corner after a decade of Tory failure

Glad to have further confirmation from TfL that #CuttySarkDLR will have all escalators replaced.

As I raised with TfL last night at transport committee, we need a clear timeline asap and expedited procurement.

Welcome their commitments on better comms
