I feel the big difference between Kermit's voice and the Sonic voice change is just how much more integral it is to Kermit.
Kermit IS known for his distinct voice as a character. Like Kermit isn't Kermit without his voice, but Sonic's voice doesn't define who he is.

So I just thought about this seeing some back and forth on the whole Steve Whitmire-Matt Vogel debate regarding Kermit the Frog's voice...
I personally too some getting used to for the voice, but the way I see some people on the comments get up in arms, I realize... it's the Sonic voice debate...
