I was so against the Gravenberch signing at the time but he’s turned into an elite level midfielder at 23. His ability to evade the press, carry the ball, tackle etc. is top tier. Just goes to show how far a little bit of faith and the right situation/role can go

Really not the game (not that there’s any) to be running your fourth choice right back given how much emphasis NUFC put on wide areas to attack but in theory Szobo gives you the industry/running power there, it’s how he deals with his positioning/awareness

Lots to improve from what we saw today, really didn’t like the dynamic between Gakpo and Kerkez from on out of possession viewpoint in particular, Kerkez was left far too isolated and with how too much space to defend

There’s clearly a slight overpay on Ekitike but he really excites me, need to watch more but his ball striking is good, has a range of finishes in his locker and his all round game seems so much fun to watch. Excited to see how his movement vibes with Salah, Wirtz etc

The Jota news is completely gut wrenching, can’t begin to explain the happy memories he gave me, my dad and my brother and all the memories he was meant to keep creating and he’s just gone like that. Rest in peace, Diogo, you will always be remembered ❤️

For all that he brings, the aerial ability of Guehi just doesn't strike me as the profile of a Liverpool CB. He's won 55.4% from 3.88 attempts (p90) whereas Liverpool have mainly ran van Dijk (75.5% from 5.3), Konate (71.5% from 4.5) & Quansah (62% from 4.5) in past two seasons

Liverpool have confirmed the signing of Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth for a fee of £40m. Defender has signed a contract running until 2030.

Yeah I don’t care if his legs are gone I’m not emotionally ready for Andy Robertson to not be a Liverpool player yet

I don’t know what I expected from this summer, but signing Florian Wirtz for £100m+ definitely wasn’t it, and I am beyond excited

Selling Quansah right now would be daft. He’s a 22 year old in a position that tends to mature a bit later that’s dealt with confidence/teething issues but has elite on ball and off ball potential

The title celebrations have been everything and more to what it should have been five years ago. The joy that Tottenham and today have brought has been incredible. I’m so happy for Virgil, Mo, Ali, Robbo and everyone else that didn’t get to do this last time. What a club ❤️

For all the questions and concerns that it does leave me with, I’m a big fan of Liverpool’s management and Arne Slot looking at other top teams with more defensive/control orientated full backs and going against the grain with more attacking/dynamic options in Frimpong and Kerkez
