Today’s #poetryprompt:

Let chance rule your #poem. Whatever that means to you. Roll a dice, pull a tarot card, open a book and select a random word or sentence. Life is full of happenstance and randomness. Let’s make it work for us.

Libraries are more than book lenders. Libraries help folks fill out taxes, fill out passport forms, access 3D printers, record in a (free) music studio, gather genealogy info, take various (again, free) classes, help with resumes, video editing equipment, large size PRINTING, ++++

I'M OUT OF ROOM!
Okay but why? I haven't had a reason to step foot in a library for more than two decades. When I was younger I spent hundreds of hours in libraries but what does it offer now beyond social interaction and access to computers that I can't get on the WWW? We need librarians but do we need libraries?

SOME 8’s

Snow falling proton-wise

is

not a black swan
event

Speed is its own

I spend forever turning
out
in
this
ballerina nightness

I feel myself bleed
inside

I’ve been exchanging tanka poems with my friend Marina. Recently, she sent me a passage from Glissant’s Poetics of Relation—prompting me to resume our correspondence. As Frank O’Hara once said, “the poem is at last between two persons instead of two pages.”

Poetry as Relation (Tankas for Marina)
Dear Friends, For a while now I’ve been exchanging occasional tanka poems with my friend Marina. To be honest, I’ve been a poor correspondent and there’s been a long gap. Recently, Marina sent me this...

An everyday prompt distilled from yesterday’s wild blue musings on the Northern night sky as The Code of 404

(4🌌4)=(🐝🌻🐝)=(🌒🌕🌘)

What is coming toward you?

What is being ferried away?

It’s high time to reinvent Martian poetry.

Multiple personalities optimize parallel universalities.

How to activate cultural networks that span age & affinities?

This quote is off limits for the average reader.

If life hands you a sousaphone, make a parade.

4🌌4 Poetics

If this 0, pictured below, is the portal to the universe (currently known as Polaris)

then that makes our earth the flower filled garden

& the universe the hive

& these 2, 4 legged bees

are the pollen laden go betweens

The boarder crossers

The poets

Traversing from flower to cave
May be the oldest 404 message, ever

Very puzzling how these bees only have 4 legs

This is what Ive found so far:

NOTES ON COOLIDGE, OBJECTIVES.
ZUKOFSKY, ROMANTICISM, AND & by Robert Grenier:

“The Maintains product of Coolidge's operations.
Quincunx translated to lines from fives in nature.”
If 404 represents the ancient starless true north

then the quincunx would be the current Polaris configuration

Somewhere in my travels

Ive come across a quincunx poetics

which i can no longer find

Can anyone out there help with this?
