Excellent summary and analysis of the current trainwreck going on at my university.
Hostility towards #academia and #immigrants is widespread. #Denmark is no exception. Under political and media pressure, earlier this week @roskildeuni.bsky.social decided overnight to close its Master's degree in Business Administration and Leadership (BAL) from 2026.

Nothing more frustrating than completely unhelpful and ambiguous peer reviews. We're on round 3 of *minor revisions* with Reviewer 1 & 3 saying "accept", Reviewer 2 saying "I hate literally everything about this paper" and the editor only telling us "minor revisions" with no indication of what to do

Back home and back to normal work after an excellent #Arnova2024 conference, inspiring and exhausting as always. I presented 2 papers - on sustaining co-production long-term, and the role of volunteers in refugee integration services. Now just have to take feedback on board and submit them!

I was already feeling a bit down about having to move from my big nice office that I love, into a small objectively shit office… and then I found the pile of nail clippings the previous occupant left in a corner of said new office. Happy Friday.

Petition to ban all of the following from marathon cheer sections:
1. All whiny singer songwriters
2. Barrel organs
3. Orchestras playing “memory” from Cats.
If the music is scary and/or depressing rather than making me want to dance, it is not motivating me to run.
