Mine was when I RAN to catch a connection from the L and a bus driver shouted out the window to ask if I was trying to catch her bus, I was, so she waited for me despite having the green. It was so kind and above and beyond.
inspired by @gravelinfluencer.bsky.social ... reply or quote with your best bus ride this year.

Mine was definitely the one where the guy was really intent on making sure I heard him complimenting my wallet. Other one was the mini-bus that took us around Sintra in Portugal.

Every time someone complains about how loud a siren is, my brain immediately blurts "IT ONLY HAS TO BE THIS LOUD BECAUSE OF CARS."

It's odd to be a polytheist in that you're the only one celebrating your holidays mostly. So it was really nice to be invited to someone else's solstice party tonight. I feel very seen and loved and in community today.

What if I told you we found a proven way to reduce youth suicide and our political representatives decided to ban it?
Just now, a national trans healthcare felony ban for youth has passed the US House, with 10 year prison terms.

3 Dems crossed party lines to vote to jail providers.

4 GOP crossed party lines to vote against.

It is not expected to pass the Senate, where Dems hold filibuster power.

Story to come.

Guess who's on this list, Illinois. Take one guess.
Here are the 28 Dem Senators who voted to advance the first federal ban on trans athletes & a federal definition of sex that would make trans & intersex people non-existent: Angela Alsobrooks (MD), Tammy Baldwin (WI), Richard Blumenthal (CT), Lisa Blunt Rochester (DE), Chris Coons (DE), ->
By a vote of 76-23, S 1071 passes the motion to proceed to the motion to concur. Won't know who voted for this until the roll call is uploaded, but safe to say it passed with the support of at least 24 members of the Democratic caucus. (Rand Paul probably voted nay and Steve Daines has been absent).

I got pulled onto a "3-4 week project" at work with daily 8:30AM calls at the end of September and we're still meeting. I knew going into it that there was no way we'd finish in 3-4 weeks--but why does this happen and how do you stop team members from spending all their time in the weeds?
