I'm never going to shut up about the Chicago River. You can go out and see these guys! For free! In the middle of chicago!!!!!!
I am shocked at the number of my mutuals who are upset about the chase debit cards not offering the Chicago skyline anymore. Why are you all banking at chase? I thought we leftists kept our wealth in sardine cans buried in public parks?

The CTA fails me on a regular basis, but I am grateful that our transit agency completes projects like this to increase accessibility for Chicagoans.

My local elementary school LSC has gone from 1/2 community board positions filled to 3 people running for it! I'm so stoked for the school, it's a blessing to have people in our community who actually care.

Every TradCath on tiktok. Study a beatitude like the rest of us had to instead of being a prescriptive weirdo.
I converted to Catholicism a couple weeks ago. Here’s how Communion should work.

Seems like a good moment to remind people of what the roofer has to say about independent contractors.

I hate the concrete parking blocks as "protected" bike lane at Roscoe & Western. One is currently fully unmoored and blocking the west bound bike lane. So much for protection. I've spoken to @aldermanmattmartin.bsky.social about how much I dislike them. I would love to see these replaced.

Just got back from a week visiting friends in Rome and wow Rome is really car-pilled. There are so many streets that drivers insist on squeezing their cars through that should simply be pedestrianized instead. What is Italy doing.

Officially running for the Bateman LSC board which I'm excited about--I really value the role schools play in neighborhoods and I think the most important thing you can give kids is your time.

Overheard at the International Puppetry Festival: "I love making memories in the winter."

I am so confused by this. Do you simply not remember winters?

Learning an instrument as an adult is hard because sometimes your teacher has to reteach you how to count and asks you thinks like "do you know the ABCs?"

I know what it's like to not live in a world class city and I'm glad I live in one every day. Even if drivers make me so mad.

This is the worst of all outcomes because we lost and also the organization is going to use this remarkable season as leverage in their money grab of the public coffers.

At a crafting retreat this weekend and my friend taught us how to make lino cut prints! Obviously I went for a black crowned night heron--my fave bird.

This is so funny to me because I do believe the quality is better because business schools are full of idiots.

It's so icy omg. I walked two blocks to dinner from my house and regretted it.
January 15, 2026 at 3:30 AM
This is pathetic. It's freezing. This stop has no shelter. I ended up grabbing a Lyft, which I hate, but 25 minutes to the CTA is too frequently 45 minutes iykyk. And on a weekday at 11AM!!!!!

Strava needs to add a KPI for whether or not I saw a great blue heron on my run.

Literally can't even enjoy a bears win because they're going to use this shit to justify stealing our tax dollars.

There is an objectively correct way to fold bath towels and straight men somehow do not know this.

First time riding the 93/California bus extension today! Some thoughts:

1. This is life changing for me. This fills a huge gap in transit for Albany park. Previously there were no N/S bus connections between Western and Kimball and Addison and Montrose.
