Yt lady tried to correct me for referring to her boss by his first name. She gagged when I repeated myself.
PhD students refer to all faculty by their first name in this program. I have seen yt students do so in front of her and she never corrected them.

Honestly, my first Thanksgiving without family has been peaceful. The day hasn’t been the same since my grandparents’ passing and dinner felt forced and empty. There’s a lot of dysfunction back home and I just prefer not to be around it. I want holiday breaks to be a vacation, not stress inducing.

Kinda dragged my mother on the phone. Talking about ppl who surround themselves with individuals in a deficit. This way they can insert themselves to be helpful because their identity is tied up in being needed. She got QUIET…
