Yes, good point, there are 57 Councillors that he has to represent. As Leader of the Council, Finch leads the work of the Council & Cabinet, has responsibility for the Council’s external relations, overall strategic partnerships, making of commitments in those settings, budget & policy frameworks.
Let’s not confuse figurehead with leader.
Reform Party: Tuesday 22nd, Warwickshire Reform Councillors elected their new Council Leader, 19 year old George Finch, who will now control the Council's £500Mn budget, despite having no prior Leadership or Work experience. He lives at home with his Mum & Dad and doesn't drive.
