A Stage 1 Burn Ban is now in effect countywide. This restricts the burning of any yard waste/debris (which is never permitted in Bellevue). Recreational fires are still allowed as long as they are 25' from structures, 10' from vegetation and are attended at all times.

We are devastated about the ambushed firefighters in Idaho today. Firefighters respond selflessly to protect lives, and no one should ever fear for their safety, especially from violence, while doing this job.

To the community impacted, and to the fire service, we grieve with and stand beside you.

We're heading into a heat advisory. And while the air may be sweltering, our lakes are still chilly enough to cause cold water shock. Jumping in too fast can be dangerous - even for strong swimmers. Play it safe. Wear a life jacket and keep eyes on those swimming. #ColdWaterSafety #PNWHeat
