And of course a label on a single image will at worst hide the image from a user, not the entire account. Only an account-wide label will do that, and we are even more careful with those!

The good news is our survey indicates people don't see a removed label as a sign of AI.

Yeah, it's us over at @aimod.social. We actually removed this specific label 8 hours ago but there is a huge lag with our labels anymore so it's still showing on the account. Pfps get changed a lot so sometimes the tag just doesn't apply anymore. Let us know if you ever see any!

Looks like the label was applied in December of last year, so yes it was probably your old PFP. I went ahead and removed it for you, so you shouldn't have anymore issues.

And Google's Deep Dreams, the backbone of modern AI technology, was developed 10 years ago. I've included some example of neural net snapchat lenses. These don't use the face-map morph or add stickers, they re-draw a new "style" using the photo as the target image in a complicated find and replace.

Sorry for the frustration. It's the filter that was used on your pfp that is the issue - it seems to have made use of neural-net technology (which is an earlier form of AI generation), which does fall under our pfp/banner label. If you feel like swapping it out I can lift the label for you.

It's 100% on our end. We're experiencing some issues with the server we use to do moderation.

The good news is we now, by popular demand, DO differentiate between AI posted as a criticism and other forms of AI generated imagery.
In any case since you haven't posted AI since I'll go ahead and lift that label for you.

As for our list, all we do is label AI. We try to be as objective as possible and grant as much benefit of the doubt as we can. Most of us are artists ourselves and support our fellow artists. This is actually one of the ways we are trying to do that!

Unfortunately some Vtubers, completely well-intentioned, end up commisioning "artists" who end up being scammers that then turn around and give them AI materials. I've personally talked with multiple vtubers and pngtubers who have had this issue.

I've gone ahead and highlighted some areas that contain artifacts that are incredibly uncommon for human artists but very frequent in AI generated images. If you have more questions feel free to DM me. Hope this helps!

Honestly this sort of thing is something we are very interested in, and are in part investigating on our own! I would love for them to reach out to us and maybe do some collaborating.

We keep our account anonymous for our own safety, but we do everything else we can to be as open and transparent as possible. I don't discuss our detection methods on the public timeline (though most are easily found online) only because I don't want AI creators to specifically circumvent them.
