Cider fans! Come by next Thursday (11/13) for a Greenwood Cider tap takeover!

We've long been known as a brewery that takes cider seriously, with 5 dedicated taps. But now we're going to give all the taps to one cidery! Co-founder Marshall will be there to help us taste through them.

Yet few people think of grasses as an evolutionarily extremely successful group, or wonder how they came to be so ubiquitous in less than ~30 million years. This talk will explore what we know about the evolutionary history of grasses and grassland ecosystems and how it related to climate change and animal evolution.  ☁️ Aakash Manapat Graduate student, UW Atmospheric and Climate Science How clouds control our climate Clouds are ubiquitous features of Earth's weather. However, their mundaneness hides a surprising level of complexity. Join me to learn about why scientists still struggle to understand clouds, and why clouds represent a major uncertainty when trying to understand climate change.

We opened a bag of 1019/Dolcita the other day and I have never smelled anything that smelled quite so much like peach candy rings.

Can't wait to try the beer we made with it!

Three years ago, I wrote about a promising cultivar from the Hop Breeding Co., 1019. A couple weeks ago, the company named it for commercial production: Dolcita. I write about it here:

I sent my bartender home and kept the brewery open late tonight to accommodate a softball team who needed some pitchers.

Finally got home to discover teen & tween had invited the neighbor kids over for a sleepover/movie night.

Mom working, had put out some snacks, said "whatever".
