The Nerdist guy who talks about Westeros like it's a real place. Also a noted cheeseburger enthusiast. (Hence the username.)
Anyone want to write this review for me?

It’s so fake when people talk about the “Real America” being the heartland or whatever because the Real America is New England.

As an end of year "gift" to all of my loyal followers I am considering releasing the unseen Baja Blast Pie videos.

They're not really gross. Not unless you think it's gross to see a soul leave a man's body.

I have never, not once, seen a single argument for using AI to create art that is remotely interesting, compelling, or intelligent. They are all total garbage. And they are all total garbage because they are made by people who fundamentally do not understand why humans both create and consume art.

Last year I interviewed Ernie Hudson, who is nearly twice my age.

It looked like we went to high school together.
Happy 80th Birthday to Ernie Hudson, whose many acting credits include HOLD IT, THIS GUY IS 80? WHAT????

If I am being really, truly honest with myself, at best I probably have negative eight good years left.

At @nerdist.bsky.social I went deep into my favorite character arc on Stranger Things and why Nancy Wheeler's futile attempt to outrun her guilt feels so authentic.

Nancy Wheeler's Guilt Makes her STRANGER THINGS' Most Authentic Character
Hawkins might be a place of horror impossible to imagine, but Nancy Wheeler's guilt on Stranger Things has always felt real and authentic.

I've made a truly terrible mistake: watched the original trailer for The Killers' "A Dustland Fairytale."

How do I unsee this? They ever figure out the Eternal Sunshine tech? I just want to enjoy the song like I used. Like before.

I wish more people watched The Last Duel when it came out. I'd like to have more conversations about The Last Duel.

You should watch The Last Duel. Then we can talk about The Last Duel. Unless you don't like it. Then I don't want to hear from you.

In my work notes I accidentally combined a TV show and a film franchise to create "How I Met Your Dragon."

Everyone, whether they say it out loud or keep it to themselves, thinks they alone would not succumb to the One Ring. This is because people are lunatics. It would corrupt every single person.

Except for me.

It's December, which means it's once again time for me to inform the masses that Jimmy Eat World recorded the best version of "Last Christmas."

Why do apes love Christmas?

They believe in the spirit of gibbons.

The Grinch would have turned good within minutes of meeting the Ghost of Christmas Past. Guy (thing? animal? creature?) just wasn't a true hater.

Scrooge was a true hater, which is why they needed to hit him with the whole Christmas Ghost Playbook.

I haven't updated my official rankings in years, but "Eye of the Tiger" is not even a top four Rocky song with lyrics.

It's not even the best Survivor Rocky song!

YEEEAH! My friend Jeremy is up early on the west coast for his annual live posting of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Top five yearly tradition for me. The other four also involve pie.
Oh I am TOO TIRED to do this but here we go!! #Heistgiving

At @nerdist.bsky.social I wrote about why Ted Wheeler is the only character on Stranger Things I truly care about.*

*In a very specific way
If Vecna wins and kills everyone during Stranger Things 5 we hope he spares one character (for a very fitting reason): Ted Wheeler.

to briefly chat with one of my childhood idols, Cassandra Peterson, as she gave me the details on her new #Elvira, Mistress of the Dark Tarot set. We also talked about already preparing for next Halloween, and one Trixie Mattel. nerdist.com/article/cass...

I don't usually have two weird food things go up at @nerdist.bsky.social so close together. Lucky you!

(Yes, that's ice cream with mac and cheese. Also yes, I ate it.)

I knew I was going to be much higher on The Running Man than a lot of people. I even said so in my glowing review, where I explained why I think it's much smarter and emotionally draining than the trailers suggested.
Review: Edgar Wright's The Running Man is wildly entertaining, tense, and funny with incredibly resonant themes.
