I'm too late to contribute, but I work in an institutionally racist industry: international school teaching. Teachers of ethnicities other than white are, in certain countries, overlooked in favour of white teachers. And it's openly discussed.

So, amusingly, here in Kazakhstan, Harry Potter is pronounced "Gary Potter". Not sure why this delights me though...
