I may be inside with central heating and emotional support blankets but this wind is trying to convince my body that we did not harvest enough potatoes to make it through the long winter.

I’m not sure when it happened, but it’s frustrating that every ticketed event seems to sell out in minutes… doesn’t even matter what it’s for. I’m a homebody but when I do want to go to a thing, there’s always some secret club newsletter about tickets that I should have signed up for 6 months ago. 😒

I haven’t done a scratch board in probably 10 years (they used to be my specialty), but a very dear friend’s mother passed this week and I thought this would be the perfect tribute. Luckily, the skill came right back like it was waiting for me. ❤️

I think some people are self-flagellating. They don’t know how to process emotions or use their pain, so they turn it inward and sit in their sorrow because they think that’s processing it when they are just picking at a scab instead of looking for what cut them in the first place…
