Our analysis shows many proposed sites are planned in communities with high social vulnerability. We need to understand the full scope of chemical safety issues in Texas. The state has 1,558 RMP facilities, the largest number in the U.S. Texas also has the largest number of chemical incidents, emergencies that disproportionately impact Latino communities.
