👋 hi, since I haven’t done an intro - I LOVE systems and how people interact with them. It’s why I explore documentation, automation, security and astro. It’s why I have strong opinions about the entire process tree and different tools. Severe ADHD made it a must-learn so I’ll help where I can ❤️
The travelling Teddy wishes you all a Happy Holidays as he experiences the life of a typical teddy bear.

I think the flights stuffed in a backpack may be more enjoyable…

The #1 movie when you were 10 years old is how my 2026 will go. Why yes, I will play this age dating game of social engineering…

If by pure year: Armageddon
If my the range I was 10: The Titanic.

…. I’m planning to be one of the extras who survives if this is the case 👀
The #1 movie when you were 10 years old is how your 2026 is going to go.

Aw yeah, time to cut loose! Also my annual holiday tradition and plans for tomorrow night.

“The transformation is astonishing. [Paris] has quietly—& quickly—become one of the most bike-friendly cities in the world. What started as a series of emergency “coronapistes” or pop-up bike lanes, built during the pandemic has evolved into a permanent bike network spanning hundreds of kilometres.”
New Study Shows How Paris Pedaled Its Way to a Cycling Revolution
Cycling through central Paris meant weaving between buses and scooters—a bold choice reserved for the fearless few.

For a crafting and audiobook escapism, I cannot recommend Of Monsters and Mainframes enough. Sci-Fi, 2SLGBTQIA+, and wholly amazing! Found this on @libro.fm from curated book lists.

It helps if you try to read this as if he’s Gaston singing in Beauty and the Beast
He really wants admiration, recognition, and validation.
It’s all grandiosity and self-magnification. He has this desire to build legitimacy, it’s rooted in needing to demonstrate competence rather than simply experience it.
It’s shows he is hypersensitive to criticism or perceived

T-6 days until I submit my research paper and finally will be able to scream like a wild person the different thoughts I have around hackers + the Internet history without worrying about plagiarizing myself in the form of an account prancing about the Internet with a teddy bear.

Today’s overheard nightmare.

“Coding by hand is like a religion to some people and that’s why they’re not vibe coding, but it’s not really useful.”

Not… not a religion. Wanting people to know *what* they implement to not make a security problem. 🫠

On this Remembrance Day, I invite those who remember the sacrifices of veteran to take an approach I grew up with: remembering why the World Wars happened, reading the Flanders Field poem, and that the whole point is the value of freedom. (Not fascism, etc.)

Know what? Going back to silly maritimer news.

Tonight on Live at 5pm: did my kid move on from crying while making birthday cards because he was putting on his favourite kitty stickers and “I’m so sad! I love them but they’ll love them more!” To … straight up stuffed kitty theft from his school?

I wish I could write my paper on hackers & computer evolution as if it's small blurbs of 'wtf?!'. I'm already over the page count and I'm not even done structuring the technical history of computers/internet technology/PLCs, civilian vs military & how both went 'defence? pfft later probs.' 🫠

If you ever think nukes are “cool for the physics” - I would say should also be required to read “The Making of The Atomic Bomb” as goes into gory, horrific detail the awful deaths and experiences of bomb survivors. (Yes, the physics is neat. But no, we shouldn’t have nukes)
The American people do not want war and we certainly do not want nuclear war.
