Something about imagining being touched with tenderness stokes the hunger inside him to an inferno, and he fears he will make himself sick with wanting impossible things.

This yoonkook snowman-building scene from 'if you're ready' is probably one of my fluffiest scenes, and I wasn't 100% sure how it would land, but fortunately people seemed to really like it!
"Hyung,” he says, low like a secret, his eyes round and shining. “Do you wanna…?” “What.” Jungkook’s teasing grin is warm as spring’s first thaw. “…Build a snowman?” he finishes, and Yoongi suddenly remembers how to breathe. “Very funny,” he says, crossing his arms. This isn’t Frozen, after all, and they aren’t children – isn’t anyone over that joke yet? Jungkook evidently isn’t kidding, though – he dashes off to a snowbank at the edge of the clearing where some icier chunks of snow have built up on the rocky terrain, prying one loose as Yoongi looks on, a little bewildered and a lot amused. This feeling only amplifies when Jungkook hefts a ball of icy snow bigger than his head and waddles over to drop it at Yoongi’s feet, his expression so self-satisfied and expectant that Yoongi almost starts cracking up. Alphas. Does he want a pat on the head? To be told that he did a good job? “It… yeah, that’ll probably work,” Yoongi eventually says, gloved fingers scratching behind his own ear. He has no idea what his face is doing.

"Hyungs, with cooking like this," Jeongguk chuckles, shaking the container of leftover pork belly, "you'll never get rid of me." He grins when he gets a snort out of Yoongi, his gummy smile brightening his whole face. He looks up at Namjoon, a smirk forming on his lips. "I don't know, baby, that doesn't sound so bad, huh?" He asks, his own arm wrapping around Namjoon's waist. Namjoon smirks in return, shaking his head. "That doesn't sound bad at all. He's a good boy, isn't he?" Good boy. Jeongguk shuffles in his spot, lowering the leftover container to hide his rapidly growing erection. He's glad that for a moment, they're not focused on him. They seem to be having a conversation without words, the silence in those few seconds making him squirm. Namjoon breaks the tension with a laugh, moving to open the front door. Jeongguk stumbles out into the hallway, his lip caught between his teeth as he looks at the couple one last time. Yoongi has his arms wrapped around Namjoon's torso, his cute face peaking around Namjoon's large frame. They both open their arms wordlessly, Namjoon raising an eyebrow. Jeongguk can't help but giggle. He lets himself be pulled into Namjoon's embrace, Yoongi's arms looping around Jeongguk's waist. "I hope you have a good night, Ggeuk-ah. Study hard but rest well," Namjoon says squeezing him before letting go. Jeongguk feels like he's in a daze, the combination of their arms wrapped around him and Namjoon's woodsy cologne doing very little to help his ever-growing boner. He quickly pulls away from them, a shy smile forming on his lips, "T-Thank you, Hyung. I will." Namjoon smirks softly, leaning into Yoongi's embrace. Yoongi blows a kiss to him, his cheek squished against Namjoon's shoulder. "Knock if you need anything, okay?"

Taehyung clutched his neck, grasping at the skin as if to tear it off. The searing pain was the most unbearable agony he had ever encountered. Every part of his body was burning, his blood almost bubbling to the surface. He screamed out in misery, writhing on the forest floor, wishing that he would just pass out from the pain and cease to exist. This is how I die, he thought as he curled into a ball on the damp ground, attempting to soothe the torment. Taehyung could've never imagined that he would be in this position a few days ago. He often visited this forest when the real world got a bit too much for him. Recently graduated, he didn't have any idea what he wanted to do in life. His degree in business meant nothing to him; just something to appease his parents. He didn't know how he wanted to proceed in life now that this chapter was over and he had come to camp in his favorite part of the woods to find solace and maybe some answers.

Taehyung teased with a giggle, still running his fingers through Yoongi's hair. "Mmm, you know it is," Yoongi mumbled, going back to laying his head on Taehyung's chest. "You're mine now." Taehyung's heart felt like it was going to burst. "I'm yours now."

"Are you enjoying yourself?" Taehyung asked, his mouth moving against Yoongi's ear as he secured his big hands around Yoongi's waist, pushing his hips against the elder's ass. Yoongi let out a soft gasp at the contact but recovered quickly. "What do you think?" Taehyung snorted, biting softly at Yoongi's earlobe. "I think you like riling me up, especially with all of these alphas' attention on you. Are Hoseokie-hyung and I not enough for you?" Yoongi pushed back his sweaty bangs from his forehead in order to distract himself from the feeling stirring in his belly. "And what if you're not?" Taehyung grunted as Yoongi pushed his ass back at a particular angle, pressing right up against the alpha's growing bulge. "Do you wanna take this home or would you like me to spread you open right here for everyone to see?" Yoongi shivered at the picture Taehyung was painting in his head, but ultimately shook his head. "As much as I would like that, this is my favorite club and I wanna come back here."

“One, I told you to stop calling me Yoongs. Two, thank you for the burger.” Yoongi unwraps the burger from the paper a lot more delicately than Taehyung and then narrows his eyes the other man, “Three, you’re late.” “Oh my god, I get it,” Taehyung rolls his eyes and throws his feet up hitting the soundboard slightly, to which he receives a dark look from Yoongi. A silent warning that Taehyung raises his hands in surrender at. It had been two months since they started the show together and in those two months they had grown civil towards each other. They rotated choosing the music throughout the show, they both allowed each other a block of time during the show for music recommendations or whatever they wanted to talk about, and sometimes Taehyung would make a joke and he could swear he could see Yoongi’s lips twitch, like the smile was trying to appear even though he knows Yoongi would rather die than laugh at one of his jokes. “You should invest in a watch,” Yoongi licks the ketchup that got on his index finger and heat flares in Taehyung’s gut at the action and when Yoongi pins him with a mocking look, the heat only burns hotter, “Oh wait, or are you too cool for that?” Taehyung scoffs in answer and throws his wrapper towards the trashcan in the corner and misses it entirely but makes no move to get up. “Whatever, can we start the show or what?” Taehyung props his arms behind his head and leans back his sweater riding up a little showing more skin than the holes and Yoongi’s eyes flit down to the strip of golden skin before looking away, putting on his headphones quickly. “Yeah,” Yoongi grunts and then turns back in Taehyung’s direction with an icy smile, “However, could you maybe refrain from playing something with nothing but erratic guitars and mindless lyrics for once?” It had been two months and no matter how civil they had become, this is what they did best and what made their show a hit within the first few weeks. Yoon… Taehyung winks at his co-host, the latter simply rolling his eyes lazily and turning towards his mic, pulling his black cardigan closer around his body, “Whatever the reason, we’re glad you joined us on yet another fine Friday night. Now enough with the chit-chat, let’s get into it!” “We’re going to ease into tonight’s show with a song I’ve had on repeat this week, Yoongi you’ll really love this one,” Taehyung grins over at the other boy, wanting to see the glint of humor that enters Yoongi’s eyes even if he does his absolute best to give Taehyung a flat look. “Oh, I’m sure I won’t,” Yoongi says easily into his mic, his voice deep and gravelly. Taehyung shivers slightly, wondering what it’d be like to hear Yoongi moan underneath him, his voice even raspier from being wrecked. Taehyung shakes himself out of his fantasies and mentally curses Jimin. He knows it’s not Jimin’s fault at all, but it’s better in these situations to just blame his friend. Actually, most situations it’s better just to lay the blame on Jimin. “Well on that note, get your shot glasses ready and your ears open cause we’ve got a couple hours to kill and as usual Yoongi might try to kill me as well,” Taehyung laughs at his own joke, and gets the queue ready with his first song of the night, “Anyway, here’s Mickey Mouse Is Dead by Subhumans.” “Jesus you’ve to be kidding me,” Yoongi groans as Taehyung presses play. “You cannot even begin to compare Echo and the Bunnymen to the Ramone

Taehyung's lips twitched up in a smirk. "Hey Hyung, can you grab me some water?" Yoongi took a minute to respond, nodding as he set his own glass aside on the counter. He opened up the cabinet next to the sink, arching his back as he raised on his tippy toes to grab a glass from the top shelf. Totally unnecessary, but also completely necessary. Yoongi could feel Taehyung's eyes boring into his backside, and he grinned to himself. He had no idea what he was doing-he was completely out of his depth right now. Yoongi thought his crush on Taehyung would've waned by the time Taehyung got back from the military, but it seemed to have returned with a vengeance as soon as Taehyung stepped back into the apartment. Without glancing back, Yoongi sauntered over to the fridge, opening it up and bending probably more than he had to grab the jug of water. Yoongi felt a strange thrill at the prospect of Taehyung's eyes roaming his body. Yoongi knew he had particular... assets, but he had never felt the need to show them off so shamelessly.

Taehyung holds his phone in his palm, the dull ringing tone playing loudly for everyone to hear. Everyone in the room is leaning forward now, waiting to see if Yoongi will pick up the phone. Taehyung sighs when the ringing goes on for a little too long. Yoongi has never not answered Taehyung before, but things could change over the course of a few months. The ringing cuts off with a click, signaling someone picking up the phone. Taehyung perks up, a smile growing on his face, and opens his mouth to greet- "No. I will not hack into the NSA for you. No, you cannot borrow my laptop, last time I let you borrow one you blew it up doing one of your experiments. And for the last time, no, I don't care how horny you are and how many times you ask. I am not having sex with you." Yoongi finishes his deep voice the only noise in the room, besides the clock ticking on the wall. Everyone's eyes are on Taehyung, making his cheeks turn a bright pink. The color deepens when he catches Jungkook glaring from where he's sat on the sofa. Seokjin pats him with a gentle hand, signaling him to talk. Taehyung clears his throat and brushes off the embarrassment quickly. "First of all, you should be happy that I would even consider having sex with you, you little gremlin." Taehyung looks up to see Jungkook prodding the inside of his cheek with his tongue and Jimin looking at him with narrowed eyes, "Anyway, that's not the point of me calling you hyung!" Taehyung whines, trying his hardest to avoid looking at the two men on the sofa. When Yoongi stays silent, Taehyung knows that he's listening and continues on, "I've got a preposition for you hyung. Or well, we've got a preposition for you." "We..." Yoongi's voice drips with confusion and Taehyung holds the phone higher when Namjoon leans in to talk. "Yoongi, it's Namjoon. It's been a-" "Oh no. No way." Yoongi's normally quiet voice rises with panic, "Whatever crazy scheme you have planned, I don't want any part of it." "Yoongi, listen-" Hoseok pipes up from the other side of Jimin, but Yoongi cuts him off just as quickly. "Hoseok? Of course you'd be there, nobody else is crazy enough to help those two except for you." Yoongi sighs and instead of being offended, Hoseok preens at the comment. "Actually," Taehyung chuckles into the receiver, "We're all here. Hyuna, Jungkookie, Jiminie, and Jin." "Jesus, all of you?" Yoongi breathes and goes silent for a few seconds. Then, "What the hell are you planning Namjoon?" "You ever heard of Red Dahlia?"

"Got another one of those?" the stranger asked, turning back and motioning toward the cigarette but watching transfixed as Taehyung blew out a long thin line of smoke. "No," he replied, tapping off the excess ash. "I bummed this off the front desk." Suddenly feeling emboldened because a man hitting on him openly outside of gay club was once in a lifetime- and what the fuck had today been anyway? He tacked on, "But if you want, we can share this one." In silent affirmation, the man held out his hand with his palm up, waiting for it to be passed. Instead, Taehyung took a long drag, finishing the whole thing off. Fighting the burn, he put it out and turned. He tipped forward, motioning for him to come close. The stranger let out a low, pleased chuckle, leaning in. Taehyung ran his fingers up the man's neck and under his chin, tipping his head just the right way, enjoying how the full-tooth grin shifted to round and parted. He'd almost forgotten how soothing it felt to feel his brain shut off. How good it was to have his entire body light up from the sensation of lips only centimetres from his. The relief of a choice he could control. He let his breath go. Slow and long. He didn't dare close his eyes, keeping them slightly open to watch the grey smoke drift out. The man smoothly drew it into his lungs like it was life itself without the slightest bit of hesitation. Sharing his poison with strangers, just an average Tuesday night.

“Please wake up, please wake up!” Yoongi begs, his voice tight as he fight off the sobs that try to wrack his body, patting Taehyung’s cheeks. The hands patting the younger’s cheeks grow a little more frantic the more Taehyung’s body continues to be unresponsive. “You are not allowed to die on me Kim Taehyung!” Yoongi leans down, letting his forehead rest against the younger’s chest. The hysteria creeps up his throat and his voice becomes higher, less in control as he continues on through his tears, “We are supposed to stay by each other’s side until the end, we promised each other, you can’t leave me, you can’t-” The chest beneath him rises suddenly, shaking slightly with a shallow breath and Yoongi hears Taehyung’s ragged inhale as he lifts his head from the floor. Yoongi gives him room, leaning back on his haunches as Taehyung splutters and coughs, hand massaging the fresh marks on his throat. “Y-Yoongi?” Taehyung looks at him, taking in his tear-stained face and eyes filled with anguish, “You’re here.” Tears well up in the younger’s eyes and a strangled cry rips from his throat as he lunges forward to hug Yoongi tight. “You came.” It’s a soft whisper, so relieved that breaks Yoongi’s already fragile heart. Yoongi cries into Taehyung’s shoulder, and he feels the wetness on his neck from Taehyung’s own tears as they embrace. They stay like that for a moment, wrapped tightly together, holding each other together

Yet- The more his chest filled, the more it felt like Hoseok was shrinking. Most visits Namjoon had to try to convince him to sleep. Holding him tight in a tangle of sheets. Listening to him breathe. Hoping that when he woke, the bruises under his eyes wouldn't be so bad. Or they'd be spent nursing the artist's raw, red fingers. He didn't wear rings anymore. There were no beads on his aching wrists. "The Governor," he would sigh, sounding a thousand miles away. "The capital keeps commissioning durumagi for all the new military officials. The price he gets is worth more than it costs me." "Then stop making things for me, please." Namjoon urged gently. "I'm scared for you. You're giving too much." Hoseok shook his head. "Don't ask me that. Stitching for you keeps me calm. It helps me wait." Namjoon tried to smile. "Even if I said you're showering me in courting gifts?" "Namjoon-ah, I'm a man." Hoseok replied smugly, nose up with a self-satisfied smile, "I can court you however I like." He'd laughed hard at that. But when he was folding his new baji away, it felt like he'd swallowed a stone. The amount of subtle red stains visible on paler threads was growing bigger on every piece.

“I hope you know you’re even more adorable when you’re asleep,” Jungkook said suddenly, eyes glinting with a hint of teasing and Taehyung felt like his skin should’ve melted with how much he kept blushing. “Very adorable,” Yoongi shuffled over, passing him a plate with a perfectly made omelet and then smirked at him before going back to the stove, “Squishy cheeks and all.” The words were thrown over his shoulder and Taehyung wanted to melt into a puddle, wanted to seep into the carpet and disappear, anything so they wouldn’t see the blush on his face, wouldn’t see the way they both affected him with their words. “Never falling asleep again,” Taehyung pouted, trying to ignore the way his heartbeat grew faster at their attention. Jungkook pulled out a fork, twirling the utensil at him before Taehyung took it from him, immediately stabbing a piece of the omelet and shoving it in his mouth. Taehyung’s pout didn’t hold for too long, as Yoongi’s food, delicious as ever, pulled a satisfied moan from him as he chewed slowly savoring every bit of the bite. “Amazing,” Taehyung finally sighed after swallowing his first bite and looked up to see two blushes and matching sets wide eyes. “What?” Jungkook coughed into his arm, muttering a, “Nothing,” while Yoongi whipped around to the sound of an overdone egg sizzling in the pan, his own muttered, “Glad you like it.”

Seokjin takes the paper from his outstretched fingers and makes a half-coughed scoffing noise. “Taehyung-ah, does this say ‘foot’? You want to step on my signature tiramisu?” “Ah, yes. I know it’s technically ladyfingers, but they say that toes are the fingers of the sole…” “No, they don’t!” “It’s just an idea, hyung. See, when they’re lined up in a pan like that and kind of rounded…” Seokjin is still on the sputtering edge of a rant, but privately he admits defeat. Somewhere deep down, he knows he has already decided to make this dessert for Taehyung – would make him just about anything, if it would help with his art series. If it would get Seokjin another one of those brilliant smiles.

"I didn't sleep at all last night because of you." "Really?" He lifts his chin a little. Raises his eyebrows. Namjoon makes a distressed sound in his throat. Jimin sighs theatrically. "Well, if you don't want to..." He shrugs and starts to turn away, but Namjoon holds onto his hands. "Want to?" Jimin's tongue appears and moistens his lips. "Want to kiss me." "I want to. Do you?" "Yes, I want to! Right now would be good if you could stop freaking out for a few seconds." This time it's even better than yesterday. Knowing that Jimin isn't rashly saying yes at a vulnerable moment, but has had time to think about it and to regret it and doesn't regret it and wants it again lets Namjoon savor it more.
