Not a Catholic, and I suspect Catholicism has been more harmful than good throughout history, but I still wish Pope Francis the best, whatever that is. He was a force for good, and the world is better for having him. Rest In Peace.

One difference between the Democratic and Republican Party now, is that I can at least say what Republicans stand for. I know they are anti-immigration, anti-trans, pro-tax cut, etc. Meanwhile, there is not a single policy I can think of where Democrats present any sort of unified approach.

In the coming weeks, when Trump dismantles more of the federal government, this time with explicit legal authority, Chuck Schumer voted to allow him to do so because he didn’t want Trump to illegally do the same thing.

@schiff.senate.gov @padilla.senate.gov I have supported Democrats up until now in the face of Trump, but if you vote to pass a CR that enables him to simply ignore Congress and reallocate money as he pleases, I will be voting against you at every level of election. Hold firm.

The large overlap of people who support conversion therapy and people who support anti-trans legislation should make it clear that the goal is not to “protect the children,” but simply to eliminate any non cis het person from existence.

It’s difficult to determine if the left is the victim of bad actors, or if this is our natural state, because while I have no doubt governments will do whatever it takes to disrupt leftist groups, I’ve also seen legitimate arguments over incredibly pointless issues among leftists.

The answer seems to be we all need to just accept a certain amount of fascist propaganda from news agencies, and hope that their billionaire owners forget to manipulate us on important matters.
So how do readers put pressure on owners who run previously-reputable media into MAGA land, if not with our $$$, when their own staff is resigning in disgust?
