Agree with the options analysis- and you can place all of this at the door of Burnham. Burnham revealed himself to be ambitious to the point of undermining the govt and petulant when he didn’t get what he thought he deserved.
But replace Starmer? What a foolish conclusion to come to.

Agree with the first statement but disagree on the second.
Polanski’s grasp of international politics is weak at best. His screaming from the sidelines revealed a really desperate side to him and his lack of understanding of what was happening: it was for ‘likes’ rather than a considered response.

What a ridiculous headline

He is a busy chap - that constituency in Clapton doesn’t run itself, you know!
Shame he didn’t send along his newest recruit Bob Generator who presents himself and his new party very positively.

The silence from the plastic patriots who worked themselves up into a complete froth about ‘Liebour cancelling democracy’ with the postponed local elections is deafening.
January 17, 2026 at 5:59 AM
But he would have to turn up for PMQ’s every week.
Or his deputy would cover each week and that’s some tainted Tory so it would be the end of Reform…

I don’t think Jenrick was the main problem Badenoch faces.
She is a disaster of a party leader, haemorrhaging people to be Reform, and the party does not appeal to electorate at all.
January 15, 2026 at 5:42 PM
It’s a shame your party isn’t appealing to Reform voters: by splitting the left vote the door for Reform to take power is left wide open.
January 15, 2026 at 9:29 AM
Oh well done!
January 14, 2026 at 4:37 PM
Well yes, but ultimately the ‘I was only following orders’ defence did not wash after the Second World War, and certainly will not be relevant now.
January 14, 2026 at 3:01 PM
I guess it had nothing to do with large sections of Wales voting for Brexit despite being a net beneficiary of EU funding? That will be Labour’s fault too I suppose…
January 14, 2026 at 9:25 AM
I believe Reform voters think it won’t affect them.
They believe that immigrants are taking all the appointments, that other people have too much money spent on them and the NHS is totally inefficient. Rid the country of immigrants and a Reform DOGE and they will be fine.
Until they need to use it..

I’m not convinced that children are at more risk of harm from social media than middle aged adults who believe every single lie and conspiracy theory they read. When adults are furious about losing the possibility of producing porn on X then something has gone wrong.
January 14, 2026 at 7:27 AM
Because it’s the Farage show.
One of the issues for Farage is that these people have ego too - imagine having enough cheek to join Reform after describing them as far right racists.
They won’t be quiet for long - I’m hoping for spilts and fallouts very soon.
January 13, 2026 at 7:41 AM
Reform is just the mouth piece for Farage.
He has no experienced candidates and the previous ones chosen were a disaster.
He had no option but to gain experienced ex-MPs. The trouble is they are all disgraced ex-Tories.
Either the party splits with these idiots or it becomes a laughing stock.

Yes - more turn out for a college football game.

Trump is going about getting a Nobel peace prize in possibly the violent method possible.
Presumably everything is so bad domestically that he thinks this latest skirmish is a good idea.
January 12, 2026 at 3:52 PM
What it shows is either desperation on the part of Farage, so short of experience and talent that he will accept Zahawi, or it was massive mistake in his judgement.
Either way what a gift for the other parties.
January 12, 2026 at 3:48 PM
I fear Reform is running out of ammunition: immigration down significantly, London not a lawless city, economy looking up.
I just wonder why all this positive news isn’t reported by right wing, billionaire owned MSM?
January 12, 2026 at 1:36 PM
Reform has done well to attract the very best!
Nads is back on form, Zahawi is very hot on matters of tax, that Lord who made a fool of himself on QT. Surely a party of the people now!
It’s Kemi I feel sorry for; can’t Nigel squeeze her in too?
January 12, 2026 at 1:33 PM
Oh dear lord - he’s not back on again is he?

How can any athlete with good conscience compete in football or the Olympics in the US? There should be mass withdrawals until the events become meaningless.

The only threat to Greenland is the United States of America.

Didn’t know foxes would enter water! What a great photograph.
January 9, 2026 at 7:05 AM
A large section of the electorate are currently looking across the Atlantic and thinking ‘this must never happen here’.
There is also a big chunk thinking, ‘lovely, yes please’.
They either don’t understand what Farage is proposing or they don’t care and are welcoming it.
These are dangerous times.
