Now to today’s movie: Iron Man 2. Biggest takeaways: 1) I will always love the suitcase suit up. 2) Hilarious that Elon is in this movie with his Marvel doppleganger, Justin Hammer. #MCURewatch

Ok now the one that started it all: Iron Man. I remember vividly stepping out of the theatre with my dad after seeing this, “I am Iron Man” still echoing in my ears. Honestly a huge cultural moment. When compared to Captain America FA, Iron Man exists in a weird pseudo-reality space where (1/3)

Onto Captain Marvel! I know she gets hate for this movie, but I think Brie Larson is a great Carol Danvers. I think the biggest issue is that it’s a movie about how women hold themselves back to shelter men’s egos, and ironically showing Carol buck that is probably what triggered the fanboys’ rage.

First up: Captain America: The First Avenger. The biggest thing that stuck out to me is how comic-booky this movie is, especially compared to some of the newer movies. I thought of Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow or Hellboy (2004) at several times, and I mean that in a good way! #MCURewatch

I decided to do a rewatch of the MCU in timeline order for as long as this Rivals inspired Marvel-hyperfocus lasts, and I am thoroughly enjoying myself. I’m on Iron Man 2 already, but I may post a few of my thoughts on Cap and the first IM as well. #MCURewatch

Someone stop me from playing #Balatro all day.
