Have been thinking about “immigration has been tearing this country apart.” Surely I’m not the only person to think that it isn’t true, but inflamed rhetoric about immigration by politicians is what is tearing this country apart and so statements like that only makes it worse.

Transform Tulse Hill led a deputation to Lambeth Council tonight to urge them to support safety improvements at Tulse Hill Gyratory.

The council agreed to press TfL for funding for a major scheme & if that doesn't work, will explore a developer-funded scheme and/or smaller, targeted improvements.

Things I’ve seen drivers do while I’ve been cycling around London:

-driving no handed eating fish&chips
-doing laughing gas
-eating a full English off a dinner plate
-watching netflix on an ipad
-crashing

Yesterday I saw a woman stopped at traffic lights doing lines of coke off her hand 🤦🏻‍♀️

Really sad to hear about D’Angelo. Always reminds me of the late 90s and his music being so good in a sea of shite Britpop. Alongside Angie Stone, Erykah Badu and Maxwell his was a voice of the times.
This is my favourite of his tracks:

Hey look, Israel broke the cease-fire, twice, in two different ways, within 24 hours - again.
NEW: Israel informed the UN it will permit only 300 aid trucks into Gaza daily, not the 600 mandated by the ceasefire it just signed.

This is the first party political broadcast in a very long time that understands the trouble we’re in.

Great job @zackpolanski.bsky.social 💚

Would you push someone off this 54-foot ladder?

Hitting them with your car at 40mph does the same damage.

American kids are dying from measles because lunatic right wing anti-vaxxers are in charge.

Not only are they unable to govern, they are stripping away people’s rights & literally allowing people to die.

If you want to know what a Reform government would look like in the UK, just look at this.
Warnock to RFK jr: "For the first time, we are seeing deaths of children from measles. We haven't seen that in two decades. We're seeing that under your watch. You are a hazard to the health of the American people."

LTNs make junctions on boundary roads safer for pedestrians, cyclists, motorcyclists and drivers.
*Our new LTN paper out today*

Do 'boundary road' junctions with minor roads get safer when minor roads are filtered (i.e. closed to through-traffic)?

We tested this using police-reported casualty data (2012–24) from 113 London Low Traffic Neighbourhoods (LTNs) introduced between 2015–24.

Day in, day out, I speak to ordinary people who are organising to welcome the asylum seekers accommodated in their towns.

They befriend, support them, reach out to them as fellow human beings.

That's the Britain I know, the one I see around me & we never get told about on TV.

GRMA to everyone who came to support us as the carnival of distraction rolls on

We'll be back on Sep 26th for Court to determine jurisdiction. We have set out why it does not.

Kneecap is not the story.

Palestine is the story.

The British government is aiding genocide. Don't stop calling them out

80 years ago, the US dropped an atomic bomb on Hiroshima.

We remember the thousands who were killed in a crime against humanity, as well as the survivors who carried the pain of the past.

Today, let us honour them by vowing to rid our world of nuclear weapons once and for all.

This iconic Fabian Todorovic cartoon is still one of the best I’ve seen at illustrating the remarkable amount of space we surrender to cars, leaving little space left for everyone and everything else. The text added later makes the bonus point that many drivers still manage to complain about it.

Talk about The Wire, Sopranos, Game of Thrones all you want, but the greatest US television program ever made is Sesame Street. It's not even close. 50+ years of treating kids across class, ethnicity, religion not as mini-consumers...but as citizens with a stake in this world.

Tulse Hill deserves so much more.

Right now, the gyratory system divides our community and puts lives at risk. We’re campaigning for a safer road system which puts people first—less traffic, more space to walk, cycle, meet, & shop. Join us, come to our meeting & help #TransformTulseHill.
