I've just been reading all the truly wonderful tributes to a school friend of mine who sadly passed away on Thursday. I can only add a quiet kind and good man who tried to see the best in folk. He will be very much missed by all who knew him from our time at boarding school for the blind Liverpool

Saturday night is curry night in my house. I've had to use a frozen one as the shop I normally get one from is closed till next week. It's an experience I may not be repeating very soon

For the third time in 9 months North Yorkshire highways are attempting to repair two manholes on the main road. Bollards and cones all over the place. Please let it be third time lucky.

It was nice to be able to get into Richmond for the coffee morning for the first time in 2025. We were a bit thin on the ground but it was a good 90 minutes.
