So I’ve been working on something for a little while and I’m finally ready to share it - my own website, Memory Card Unlocked.

Read, share, subscribe, anything is hugely appreciated. Even mean feedback is welcome, as long as it’s helpful.

People keep saying ‘oh this is where shit gets good’ and I’m like what do you mean because

1. I spent the last 3 hours thinking I was playing through the ending

2. HOW DOES IT GET EVEN BETTER?!
I just got to Act 3 in Clair Obscur and I have 𝘲𝘶𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴

I am a firm proponent of the one episode per week model over dropping an entire series all at once

But I think waiting a whole week between episodes of Pluribus is going to kill me

What if it’s called Final Fantasy 7 Threemake?

It's 2025 and I'm playing Time Crisis in my living room with a toy gun, and I'm loving every second of it.

I always assumed I’d be able to eat 100 nuggets nbd but then I saw them stacked on @janochoa.bsky.social’s lap during the Bomb-a-Thon and it legit altered my brain chemistry

Loved the Nintendo pop-up in London, spent way too much money, but floored that there wasn’t a single piece of Metroid merch.

Prime 4 is like a month away, could Samus not have had one little shelf?

This is such a bummer. TheGamer basically let me write whatever jokes I wanted about whoever I wanted in the video game industry - to the point of getting legal threats. Few places give freelancers that much freedom. It’s sad to see so many good staff writers and editors let go.
Valnet unfortunately let go of the entire TheGamer features team today alongside several other staff members.

Many incredibly talented and hard working writers I've had the pleasure of working with over the past several years.

Several of my colleagues were laid off today, and seeing the usual reaction from the usual people pushed me to write a blog post (how retro) about the sad state of online discourse: jackcrustycoleman.com/2025/10/22/l...
Layoffs, Empathy and Blind Hatred
An unfortunate state of affairs.

Unfortunately, my time as an Editor for TheGamer.com has come to an end.

I met some of the best coworkers I've ever had there, I learned and grew a lot.

If anyone is looking for a journo, especially for guides, reviews, VR, horror, and farming RPGs, I'd love to hear from you.
