My NYE consisted of a guitar lesson, a workout, a great filet med-rare, a movie, a bubble bath, journaling, candles, soft music, NA champagne and a good night's sleep. It was perfect. Happy New Year!

Dear all you A-holes who are going to be lighting fireworks off until 4am, don't freaking do it. It bothers your neighbors, and all the animals within earshot. It scares the hell out of poor helpless dogs. Mine included. Don't make me come after you later!!!!

Not a fan of resolutions but am a fan of trying to be better, do better, etc. A new year = new blank slate. Goals - take the 7:30 am gym class as much as possible (I hate getting up early), and stop drinking alcohol period. Full stop. I'm 55, and I worry it's not good for my long term brain health.

I love a good puzzle, especially during the holidays. I put on some Christmas jazz, pour a nice glass of red and just hunker down and get to work. This one took since Thanksgiving and gave me a good run for my money. I am certain there are pieces not where they belong!

If I were running a state, especially a blue state, I'd do everything I could to get self sustainable and to where I didn't need the federal government for a damn thing. Much like prepping to leave an abusive relationship. I'd set my state up so it could survive on its own and take its power back!

I've literally just moved from Miami and part of the reason I left was because of the corrupt and awful politicians there. It makes me so happy to see this!!! Not happy enough to move back... but happy! YESSSSSSS!!!!!!!!
