The world doesn’t need more outrage; it needs more grounded confidence in our capacity to help.

Care shows us what matters.
Confidence lets us act on it.

Care + Confidence = Action

Research shows science and politics writing keeps getting harder to read. Many articles now require college-level (undergraduate) education or more to follow.

Clarity isn’t a luxury. It’s the difference between public engagement and public exclusion.

love an induction stove. SO MUCH better than gas in every possible way.
✅ Faster
✅ Doesn't give you or your children asthma
✅ More precise
✅ More uniform heat
✅ Less likely to accidentally burn you
✅ literal magic.

I find there is a lot of overlap between the following groups:
- people who are mission-driven and want to fight for a better future
- people who hate negotiation and think it makes them "selfish"
If you fall into those groups, please check out my negotiation tutorial. 💖

co-beneficial climate solutions for people and planet >>>>
My point is that it doesn't have to be that way. We are nowhere near maxing out investment in & implementation of sol'ns that benefit people, health, climate and nature at the same time. This is what we should be prioritizing, sol'ns with the greatest number of wins for people + the planet together.

AI Is Decoding Whales’ Communications. Could That Be a Turning Point in the Push for Their Rights? buff.ly/HdBtIZ1

I love this idea that understanding the communications of other species will help us protect them. So curious to see how this technology will progress!

An answer to:
Climate communicators often state "all doom and gloom messaging" will only depress people & reduce activism and finding climate solutions. Is this actually true?
I recommend this paper as an overview: pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC...
It is unfortunately not the case that "the harder it gets the more they dig in," as the human brain has remarkable defense mechanisms that surface to enable us to continue functioning under duress.

It breaks my heart receiving calls from students in a panic about being accused of using AI on assignments where they never used AI.

People. If you are going to police AI use, the most important thing you can do is be human. Remember there is a human heart on the other end of that accusation.

The "silent majority" is where the vast majority of people want climate action but they don't talk about it because they think other people won't agree.

I imagine if that problem were resolved we would see climate climbing in voter importance.
Climate change and the environment is important to voters! Twice as salient as crime!

Not saying it needs to be the primary platform plank, but green policy is not turning anyone away from Dems.

this is a collage I made to describe my purpose statement “for people and planet”

A mentor pointed out that it made her think of “the people’s planet” and “the planet’s people,” which birthed this yin and yang symbol representing the people of the planet and the planet of the people.
