It’s Robert Burns’ birthday and in there somewhere in my Michael Marra, Neil Gow, Dougie Maclean, growing up in Ayr tribute to socialist folks wandering about the hills of a weekend in the 1950’s pointing at things.

43 years ago today, Echo and the Bunnymen appeared on TOtP, alongside U2.
Afterwards, both of their career's would dramatically diverge.
But first, they'd have to get there. This is the story of how the Bunnymen achieved their first Top10 hit, The Cutter.

Study for a Gaelic Mass (Heavy Structures in a Landscape Setting - After William McCance)

Just to lay the references on thicker, the wording across the boat is from Hallaig by Sorley Maclean (Somhairle MacGill-Eain) and reads in English ‘The dead have been seen alive’ (chunnacas na mairbh beò)

This is my new album.

It's instrumental, apart from some crowd chanting on Your Gold, Mr Bridger.

The average tune length is two minutes and eight seconds.

There are fourteen tunes.

It sounds like old telly music.

It's ace.

I'd love it if you listened.

I've love it even more if you shared it.

Work in progress, my first wood engraving for several months. Enjoying the calm it brings. 10x10 cm lemonwood.

Looking back up the cliff path at Rubha Hunish, Trotternish, Skye. Down to the almost hidden peninsula and the birds, the Shiants, the Outers and the panoramic mainland mountains.
