Great to speak with @hannahmargbrown.bsky.social about why the Labour Party must have socialists in it, why left wing solutions are what Scotland & the UK needs & why Labour is the best bet for people who want to see an equal society.

Thanks to everyone at @heraldscotland.bsky.social for the award

The Labour Gov has stepped up & saved 500 jobs in Grangemouth & thousands in the supply chain.
We’ve committed hundreds of millions of £s to build Grangemouth for the industrial future we need.
This is the difference Labour can make for workers, communities & Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

BREAKING: Labour's landmark Employment Rights Bill has PASSED both Houses of Parliament. Its new rights will be transformational.

This is a massive step forward in delivering Labour's New Deal for Working People - passed by a Labour Government, delivered with the labour movement. Let's celebrate 🎉

l'd rather expenditure went towards fighting inequality and the lethal poverty it creates instead of on nuclear weapons that will not keep us safe @scottishcnd.bsky.social @cnduk.bsky.social

Today's news on UK government investment and new jobs at MiAlgae in Grangemouth is great.

It will be just the start in building our towns new industrial future.

I'll continue to fight for this community and make this happen.

I look forward to meeting the UK Government Minister with the Scottish Professional Footballers Association to discuss the possibility of classifying dementia and other brain conditions as industrial injuries.

It's simple. By continuing to trade with Netanyahu's regime, the UK is complicit in crimes against humanity.

The issue of undiagnosed cardiac conditions in young people aged 35 and under is responsible for up to 16 deaths a week in the UK.

It was good to meet surgeons and people from @cryuk.bsky.social and join in the call for a National Strategy to Prevent Young Sudden Cardiac Deaths.

It's Israel's aim to make Palestinians reliant on Israeli goods by destroying agriculture in the West Bank.

The UK trading with Israel helps Netanyahu colonise and control Palestine and the people.

Economic, trade, military and diplomatic sanctions on Israel are overdue.

What a great atmosphere in Alloa on Saturday at the Christmas Lights Switch On! Well done to all the organisers, performers and everyone who came out on a chilly afternoon. Needed the warm drink in Take a Break afterwards to thaw out! 🎄☕️

I was delighted that my Labour government delivered justice for ex miners on BCSSS. This will give a big pension uplift to people from Alloa & Grangemouth 👍

A special thanks to our constituent Stewart Livingstone who worked with me in representing those people on the scheme ✊

Let's make this Budget a true Labour budget that lifts people out of poverty and gets good well paid and skilled jobs into Grangemouth.

Thanks to Lorraine Joyce and family for campaigning to highlight that so many young people die from undiagnosed heart conditions following her son Aiden's passing.

I have submitted a Written Question to the Health Sec regarding making heart screening for young people mandatory.

In the Budget, Labour leadership must tackle the growing inequality that is destroying communities.

People need to see improvements in living standards. That's the change people voted for.
@brianleishmanmp.bsky.social, who lost the Labour whip earlier this year for fighting against disability cuts, calls for real change to tackle the deepening crisis.

Rising poverty, food insecurity, spiralling energy bills & housing costs - all while wages stagnate.

Tillicoultry residents impacted by RAAC have had their lives turned upside down and 2 years down the line the Scottish Government have abandoned them.

Today, once again, I highlighted the residents heartbreaking situation in Housing and Communities Questions in Westminster.

Along with @unitetheunion.bsky.social
l've kept pushing for the government to do more for our Grangemouth community.

I'm happy that £14.5m for a green industrial transition has been secured alongside the £100m Growth Deal & £200m from the National Wealth Fund.

All of this must lead to jobs.

This morning I joined students, lecturers, trade unionists and @richardleonardmsp.bsky.social at Alloa Campus and spoke about how important it is that our college in Clackmannanshire is saved and receives the funding it deserves.

The Scottish Government must fund further education properly.

The workers at Turners have been offered a miserly 1% pay rise while the cost of living crisis rages on.

No worker deserves to get poorer.

Great to stand on the picket line in solidarity yesterday morning ✊

I've had lots of questions about me getting the whip back and why I wanted it back.

It's because I believe the Labour Party remains the most likely vehicle to deliver the change we desperately crave and the best place for me to effect that change is within the party 🌹
