Marvel Champions, all things Lovecraftian, and strategy games I never win. Oh and solo gaming enthusiast.
Making progress on my 2026 Nickels and Dimes goals with some plays of Stonemaier and Garphill titles. But my favorite play this week was my first ever win at Faraway - a brain burny little tableau builder that I can’t recommend enough

We aren’t good at this game. But we love it.

What an absolute ignorant tool.

On another note go check out Kovray’s video on Wonderland’s War Duel!
Imagine being so fuelled by hate that you won’t learn a game you’re excited about

Well, this one was an unexpected surprise. I’m dancing with the idea of rating this one 10 out of 10. It strikes that perfect balance of easy to learn and play, but really deep complex decisions that feel fresh and interesting every time through the deck. I cannot recommend this one enough.

I almost pulled this one off but my first win at Faraway, remains elusive

After a second to play, I appreciate Endeavor a little more than I did the first time. Still not ready to call it again I like, but I’d definitely play again.

First solo game of October resulted in a painful defeat at the hands of the Slayer. Guess I’ll have to try again tomorrow.

Clearly a little obsessed with @stonemaiergames.com games last month.

Starting our third campaign of Sleeping Gods this morning. Can’t wait to explore some new areas of The Wandering Sea.

First play of Windmill Valley. It’s cute and clever, a game I’d gladly play again. I enjoyed the ability to lean into a combo and get an engine up and running quickly. I didn’t play around much with the market and realized late that this is what cost me the game. Next time I’ll buy more tulip bulbs

On a -span kick this weekend. Wyrmspan last night and Finspan this morning. Maybe I can convince my partner to play Wingspan later too 😀

Pride Month is around the corner. Do you want to be on this list of LGBTQ+ creators with me?

Please only add yourself but help spread the word so we can collect a great list!
Inspired by @elizhargrave.bsky.social’s “Designers who are Women & People of Marginalized Genders” BGG GeekList, I have created 7 GeekLists for LGBTQIA+ representation in tabletop games. Please add to it and share it as we get closer to Pride Month! 🥳🏳️‍🌈

Solo gaming continues. Maquis is one of my favorites. What are some other solo-only games I should be on the lookout for?

At my mom’s this week. That means solo games!

Nothing like getting a highly anticipated Kickstarter two days before you leave town for two weeks. Guess I’ll be reading lots of rule books over the next 14 days.

Very excited to see this one on the porch when I get home from a hike

Technically I didn’t lose to the flood, and would have survived the raiders if not for a food shortage. This game is brutal. I effing love it. #legacyofyu
