Some days are just so bad that the only thing that can save your night is FAST TIMES AT RIDGEMONT TIMES. But it’s not streaming on any subscription services. Fear not! The Blu-ray is on my shelf. Physical media matters 😀

Tonight’s Horror at the Hiway secret screening is about to start. Based on the clues I believe it is an early film from New Zealand’d most famous director

When my time comes, my wish is to be cremated. But if I was going to need an epitaph, this one from THE ROYAL TENENBAUMS would get my approval.

Looks like I’m the only one seeing RIFF RAFF tonight. Of course, there was no promotion for the film.

Watching an episode of PERRY MASON and the great James Hong is among the guest cast. He plays a lawyer who is the executor of an estate. The episode aired November 21, 1963 - the day before JFK was assassinated in Dallas.

This depresses me to no end.
THE STING (1973) is now the oldest American narrative film on Netflix — one of only 5 released before 1980 on the largest subscription streaming service in the U.S.

After rewatching Peter Jackson’s self-indulgent Hobbit trilogy, I read the book for the first time in decades. J.R.R. Tolkien’s novel remains entertaining. There’s no reason for Jackson to stretch the story to 3 movies no matter how much material is imported from other writings.

This 15th Anniversary Edition of CLERKS is now 15 years old. There are many great movies (and more not so great) celebrating their 30th anniversary this year so one of my movie challenges for 2024 is to watch a movie from 1994 during the week it was originally released.
