I have many Grappelli records but this remains a favourite. The British pianist Alan Clare was the perfect accompanist on these duets. In particular, every second of "The Nearness Of You" is utter perfection from both men. A glorious album.

I know of no other screenwriter who could equal Neil Simon when it comes to bitter/sweet comedy. In "California Suite" (1978) a superlative cast delivers a faultless suite of short stories. The whip-crack dialogue between Jane Fonda & Alan Alda was Mr Simon at the top of his game.
